right?!! I'm quite surprised by it because gmmtv always includes progressive topics in most of their series so…
ahhh ok thank you so much for explaining! How is it viewed by feminists in Thailand? Or by women in general (although I realise many women can have different mindset, opinions, etc based on their cultural, religious, socio-economic background, etc)?

I also think Puifai cares for Jay 'cause he hasn't been dared to do anything or tell the truth yet and maybe she's…
agree with you... it's so sus. I think Jay is still hiding some stuff though

I wonder if Jay survives 😩
but what if he received the letter but he's hiding it and didn't wanna tell anyone about it, not even his brother? or maybe he'll receive the letter last? Or if he didn't receive the letter yet, doesn't that make him kinda suspicious?

I have to say, it would be quite brutal if they killed off the main character's brother so it probably won't happen but who knows

probably when this finishes, jade and kamin are the only ones who would've survived.

Title Dare You to Death Spoiler
I don't know why, but I have a nagging suspicion that the killer is the cringy forensic physician that continues…
agree with you. Also, why was Kamin so weirded out by the letter, like he's hiding something?

Thank you so much for the link! *sigh* only 4 years ago? Patriarchy still hard at work...but even if it was only decriminalised 4 years ago, I would expect a gmmtv series to be progressive about this topic. They often are about many such topics in many of their series when you watch carefully so this really surprises me.

(examples of other things I noticed throughout their series:
when they portrayed Maewnam in Whale Store doing things traditionally considered male - fixing all kinds of appliances & things, showing us that women are able to do it too, or when she actually physically defended Wan from the guy who assaulted her, showing women can fight too; or in I Love a lot of You, where Sun's mum was an escort and he had a conversation with Sairung about this topic where she reached a conclusion that it's also a job like any other and sex workers deserve social protection too just like other professions; or in Break-Up Service where one of the sub-plots was about a couple who were making adult content (OF style) and while initially it was assumed that the woman was coerced into it, in the end the series showed that they were both consenting adults who decided to do it together of their own accord; or in Ossan's Love where the main character's daughter tells her father that it's 2025 and he can freely date and be in love with a man if he wants to; or I loved the autistic character Gun played in Leap Day (or Aylin in 23.5), or that they included characters with a disability in Moonlight Chicken, Last Twilight, Pluto (in Pluto they even talked about such interesting things like for example Universal Design) and how they showed how ableist can parents of disabled kids/young people be while thinking they're just 'protecting' their kids; and I can't forget The Warp Effect series, that series was a whole feast with so many fantastic topics addressed.)

I copied that text about those examples from a thread I once wrote on twitter when the first episode of Me and Thee aired. If you watched it, there was a scene in it when Peach came home and his sister was lounging one the sofa alone, scrolling on her phone and she had shorts on and her legs crossed. And Peach instantly reprimanded her for sitting with her legs spread and instantly covered her legs with a blanket. That scene actually started a debate on twitter because many fans noted how misogynistic and weird it was (while there were lots of others who defended it as 'culture' and 'good manners' and that he was being protective of her). So back then I was discussing that scene with one Thai anthropologist on twitter and I wrote all those examples because I was shocked and surprised they included such a weird and low key misogynistic scene in Me & Thee if usually they include progressive topics and opinions in their series. Which makes me wonder whether it depends on who writes the series - and whether Dare you to Death and Me and Thee, especially the bits about abortion in DYTD & that scene in Me&Thee, were written by straight males, as opposed to the other series I mentioned which included such progressive opinions and topics.

This was during the time when Jade was still in hospital i think and Kamin interviewed Cherreen and Tonkla alone.
yeah me too, but some plot holes are so glaringly obvious 😩

well shouldn't Jade be updated on all the latest new info as soon as he's discharged and back to working on the case? No wonder they can't catch the killer if this is how they work...

at around 10:00 into the episode, they're driving in the car and Kamin says that Time was a pervert, secretly filming people and selling the clips online. And Jade asks him "people in the gang were victims too?" and Kamin goes yeah. Like.... aren't they investigating this case together??!! How come Jade didn't know this piece of information?! Seriously the plot holes....

It really icks me to see how abortions are demonized in this series. Abortion is healthcare.
right?!! I'm quite surprised by it because gmmtv always includes progressive topics in most of their series so I'm weirded out by this...is abortion not considered normal in Thailand (by at least the pro-choice part of the population)?

I loved the first episode I just have to say one thing - Domundi has a shitloads of new young actors right now and this BL has a lot of side characters - I'm super happy North, Wave, and Otto are in it too but why not give the other side roles to DMD's new young actors? I don't understand...why look for actors outside the company? It's a perfect BL to give the roles to the new faces they recently signed up - a university BL

I loved this series. Never got bored during any of the episodes. One thing I wanted to discuss with others who watched it - I don't think in real life it would ever be a good idea to date your fan, no matter how mature, educated and intelligent she is...I don't know...what do you all think?

Yes! I totally think she's still alive and is one of the killers, and the other is a man, maybe a relative, not…
but if it really is that doctor, why would he help her so much and do all these things for her and commit murders for her? Did they each other before? Did they secretly date before all this and they came up with this whole plan?
