Taking over my brain
It is so cute so far, and the humour is just for me. Nostalgic and reminiscent of Addicted (2016). I love that the characters are older, although they are still just as silly. There was a very fun montage edited to look like a Chinese variety show, and as an avid watcher of Chinese variety shows, I found it extremely cute. I also really enjoy that the characters are established mlm, so the plot is about them falling in love rather than figuring out their sexuality. Youxi is very shameless, and his schemes are hilarious. I respect Yangmeng's patience. Overall, I highly recommend and I am very excited to see how the story unfolds.Was this review helpful to you?
Best BL I've Seen So Far
We’ve been waiting for an official Chinese BL for almost 10 years, and this is far better than what we could have asked for. In fact, this is the most silly and refreshing show I’ve seen in a while. The characters have fun dynamics with each other, and the tension is palpable. The author of Revenged Love is the same as the author of Addicted, so you know the actors are gonna be gorgeous and the story full of humour. It's been about 5 months since this show finished releasing, and yet I still think about them and miss them every day. ChiCheng is a complex character who undergoes a lot of character development to become the biggest loverboy. The way he treats love and his lover is something that has changed my outlook on how love and relationships have the potential to look like. Wusuowei is my favourite character of the show, and I love his silly schemes and expressions. His relationship with Jiangxiaoshuai is the purest, most beautiful friendship, and together, they have both brought me so much joy and laughter. Guochengyu has some really beautiful lines, and he is such an ideal, thoughtful partner. The summer of 2025 now has a whole new meaning. This show taught me what love looks like, changed the way my brain is wired, and gave me so much hope. I will forever recommend this show to everyone I know.
