Review Why You… Y Me?
To be fair Green was never straight forward about his feelings for Maito. Whenever Green tried to show his feelings he always chickened out, sometimes when Maito considered what greens actions meant he always concluded that the reason Green knew and cared so much about him,his habits, and the things he likes is because they are childhood friends. The same thing goes for when Green does nice gestures for Maito because Green has always done things that are too close to what a good friend would do because of this Maito never had any reason to think that Greens actions meant something more, therefore he was never been able to see Green as anything more than just a friend. Green also has terrible timing to finally tell Maito his true feelings. He decides to tell him in the most repulsive way possible which was to without warning kiss him and then let everything he's had held in come out after Maito and Shokun had already made up. Also the scenes we get with Green & Maito on the island every scene that we could interpret as Maito falling for Green Maito was remembering & comparing it to similar situations with Shokun never letting the scene with Green be something on its own. Which is why I believe Maito rejected Green and stayed with Shokun in the end. Maito already knew what he wanted and that wasn't Green it was Shokun even when Shokun rejected Maito's feelings at first. Even though Maito's rejection of Green's feelings could be seen as harsh especially since we see all the pain and self torture green goes through to chase and fit Maito's every need because of his one sided love. I'm not surprised at how the love triangle ended and I think that Maito just did something Green never did in the series until it was to late, and that was to be clear about what he wanted and his intentions leaving no wiggle room around the subject.
