I thoroughly enjoyed when CYY told the truth the YX. All that was missing was 1 slap like the one he gave his…
Oh how much i enjoyed that scene too! I was eagerly waiting for someone to just tell him to stop being so spoiled and do something for his family and himself.
I usually never comment on this site, i just enjoy others comments, but this drama and characters just made me say out my opinion about some things: 1'st, everyone is concerned about the age gap between the leads in the drama, but somehow no one considers the age and era the story is set in. In that time girls married young and their spouses weren't at all the same age as them, because a man had to establish himself first before considering marriage to be able to provide for the family. They learned, got into court etc. It was normal for a man to marry a much younger girl who just got in age. Just take a look at regency era, it was the same back then too. 2'nd, many of you think that fl has more chemistry with 2ml, they are like a bickering couple, cute and thrilling at times, and i agree with that. But i just couldn't agree with her ending up with the boy. Just considering how much problem he has on his own, i think it would be best if they give him a "training or debelopment" arc where he finally decides what he wants to do with his life. It's pitiful to watch him always get yelled at. Yes hes phisically incapable of what others want from him, but that doesn't justify his rebellious act of doing absolutely nothing besides causing trouble. If hes an intelligent character he could figure out something already, to get better in other places like learning, scheming, anything to get out of his miserious state. (Just take as example the ml from the drama New life begins, Yin Zheng was also weaker than his brothers, but he remained composed and found other ways to get into power) Well, I'm really curious how his character's going to evolve from now on. 3'rd, i just can't appreciate enough how mature our ml's been so far. Like, in the latest episodes when he heard about fl being helped by 2ml, he didn't go to fl jealously asking why she didn't come to him for help (like some ml's in other dramas do). Instead, he figured out how he can help her more in the future, with giving her a whistle to call for help whenever she's in need. Also he's been mature and reasonable in all of his decisions so far. He's been managing difficult relationships and court politics while being kind to others he cares about, also helping out his rivals too and giving his nephew a chance to decide his own future regarding his marriage. This time I'm seriously enjoying this type of ml character instead of the hot headed jealous duke or general trope. (Not that I'm against those, but it's just so refreshing to see another example from time to time) I'm so eagerly awaiting the time when our main couple becomes more romantic towards each other and gets to scheme side by side like a power couple. Hoping for the best in the upcoming episodes.
I really like case solving dramas esp. if they have romance. But in this one i just couldn't get to connect with the characters (even if i liked the lead actors) . The fl was annoying for me, she solved the cases with sacrificing herself every time, even tho she had a really smart ml and other characters beside her. It just got more annoying with each case.
Its not pathetic when MLs rescue FLs throughout cdramas? Lacking self defense skills does not make someone pathetic,…
Well it seems you've watched the whole drama from beginning to end, yet your statements show you didn't understand at all the story of the ML. He got into the novel at a young age, was poisoned, mentally and physically abused, had no power and no one to rely on. He tried everything from being obedient, studying, befriending others, but nothing worked, everything always just backfired for him. Yet besides these facts he SURVIVED and learned how to act his role as a tyrant. And also schemed and made plans for a rebellion, sent his only helper friend to infiltrate the Right army for himself to make an opportunity to counterattack. So i would say, instead of calling out his inability in martial arts, you could imagine yourself to be in his place. To be honest if it were me, i wouldn't survive even the first year in that setup of the novel.
What I love about this ML is that he is not love sick Giving up his whole career which he worked hard for
In this case i agree wholeheartedly. The only character in this show i can't get angry at is the ML. He is scheming, smart, strong, and mentally stable in this house of serpents. I can agree with all of his choices until now. The FL also is true to herself in her choices, but i just can't like her as much as the ML because of her family obligations, and the way she always submits to them. I just can't like her that much without having a sour feeling about it somehow. Some rules needs to be changed or overruled in that family.
I mean; do we even acknowledge the infidelity-suspicion arc? Where she protected him despite him being accused…
Well, there were some cases of FL's who tried to understand their ML's, not just the ML always doing the understand her and help her thing. That's one thing why i liked the ML and FL in Prisoner of beauty. They equally understood each others situations and by the end both worked together to make things right. Tho i don't think it will be the same in this show, where everyone is scheming agains everyone. I can only hope the relationship between our main leads will be a satisfying one after all these mind games and suffering. But still, this drama remains a really interesting one worth watching till now.
who dies to come strong?? what r u watching?? Looks like u r copy pasting same comments below every drama. I saw…
Omg, i did not think my first ever comment on this site would be this. I did watch SOML and i really appreciated it, it's a mature show, it's quality may be higher than this ones, but why, just why can't people enjoy any drama they want. I enjoyed Minglan, and i'm genuinely enjoying this one too. The story, the characters they may be flawed and stupid sometimes, but i still enjoy this drama, and to be honest for me it's even interesting. So please if you don't like it, then go and rewatch Minglan, just don't comment shit to other people.
