Chapter 31 was truly captivating. Dylan did an excellent job portraying his character's storyline in the modern world. GOTD is undoubtedly a drama that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. The plot continues to advance consistently up to episode 31, with only 9 episodes left. Regardless of the ending, it's been an adventure watching this drama and waiting for it for over a year. It didn't disappoint at any moment, and if there's a second season, I wouldn't mind waiting another year for a story like this.

The storyline and plot is so damn predictable ...whereas the comedy is really off..like some funny scenes are…
I don't think the story is predictable at all; it's quite the opposite. Each case is resolved in a very interesting way, without leaving behind the elements introduced in the early episodes (unlike other dramas, where they often include something in the plot and then forget about it later). Here, everything is connected.

Regarding the comedy, I haven't had any issues with it so far. I like how each character shines in their own way and pokes fun at themselves.

As for the romance, I've seen several comments about this. If you're looking for pure romance, there are other dramas that might be more to your liking. This drama only presents romance as a secondary aspect, without putting too much emphasis on it. After all, the main focus is on the mystery and comedy. The romance develops slowly, but it doesn't affect the drama's progress. The scene in episode 23, I think, shows that even with limited interaction between the ML and FL, romance can be portrayed perfectly.

Am i the only one who thinks this show is kinda underappreciated on this site? Maybe because it doesn't focus…
Definitely, this drama is being highly underrated. Since its inception, the drama has had a consistent progression, lovable and non-boring characters, well-executed sad scenes so far, and a fast-paced rhythm. Many viewers, especially international ones, tend to watch more romantic dramas, focusing on the CP (couple pairing) scenes of the leads. It's clear that this drama doesn't focus on that aspect, making it less interesting to some. However, it would be great if stories like this, with a well-crafted plot, received more appreciation from the audience.

...And this, kids, is how instant food was invented in the Dafeng :DHe should open a stall or something. That…
Hahaha, it's such a fun drama! I haven't seen episode 22 yet, but I'm already eager to watch it!

The drama keeps getting better and better. The mystery scenes are still being executed perfectly. The new characters are really interesting. I'm not sure if it's the director or Dylan, but the references to other movies and series are hilarious and always appear at the right moment.

Episode 17 has everything I love: intrigue and mystery. Not a single boring moment so far. Usually, I skip some episodes in other dramas, but with this one, it's the complete opposite. Everything is interconnected, from the very first episode... it's cool

The drama's narrative is progressing well, but the female protagonist's character development has been limited…
Her character will definitely grow, but for now, it's fun to watch her interactions with other characters. After all, it's interesting, at least for me, to see female characters grow gradually before being portrayed as Mary Sue, which is what usually happens in Chinese dramas.

The drama's narrative is progressing well, but the female protagonist's character development has been limited thus far, portraying her as spoiled, lacking in intelligence, and somewhat awkward. Nevertheless, her interactions with Xu Quian are engaging. As the drama has yet to reach its climax, it is likely that the female lead's character will undergo significant growth. The majority of Chinese dramas feature intelligent and cunning female protagonists, making the female lead's unique personality in this series a refreshing change. The drama's focus on the male lead means that the circumstances driving the female lead's behavior are not fully explored, but the glimpses provided allow for a degree of empathy. It is essential to remember that the actors are not responsible for the character development, and with the drama only halfway through its episode count, it is premature to draw conclusions.

I CAN'T even their way of thinking is the same. Qi An and Lin An are a perfect match and I'm going to call them…
The mystery aspect of the plot is really drawing me in, but I'm also finding the romance that's slowly unfolding to be quite captivating.

The special effects so far are very decent, as are the action scenes. Each episode feels like a movie, with detailed settings, costumes, and overall production. It's definitely a visual spectacle... The main protagonist is not like any character I've seen before (at least in Chinese dramas, I haven't seen many). He's intelligent, cunning, and looks out for himself, constantly coming up with plans that benefit him. His heroic side hasn't emerged yet, but considering how the plot is unfolding, it'll be an emotional rollercoaster later on.

Episode 14 was so intense, with all the plot twists and mystery! And from the looks of the preview, episode 15 is going to be even more epic with all the fight scenes. I'm loving this drama!

opening song is really such a vibe
"I completely agree, its epic touch is incredible. One of the opening songs I've ever heard. And it pairs perfectly with the drama. Usually, I skip opening songs, but with this one, it's the opposite.

Everyone is talking about how bad FL is, lol. I don't think she is that bad, but the overall situation is somewhat…
The interaction between the ML (Male Lead) and FL (Female Lead) is fine for me, they bring comedic moments, and after all, romance isn't the main focus of this series. It would be great to see some growth from the FL, but I understand why she behaves that way.

Episodes 11 and 12 were really exciting, the mystery is starting to unfold, and I love how Xu Quian is working undercover... it's piquing my curiosity about what might happen in the upcoming episodes. So far, the pacing is working well for me, the episodes feel really short, and the action scenes are also well-executed. Gradually, they're introducing new characters that are helping to lay the groundwork for the overall plot.

There are several standout scenes, the part where Xu Qian didn't kneel in any of the trials is something that will become more important in the plot later on, right?
