I have never disliked a FL until this show. Even when others complained about the leads in other shows I was quite…
Feel the same, Twinty. I think the need to stretch these shows past 10-12 episodes, really waters down a script. Creating a need for playbacks, extensions of whiny-needy characters, and unrelated scenes. This show could have been done in 12-14 episodes, and thatās generous!
We waited 18 episodes for the main leads to get together and now the scenes are all about secondary leads. This…
From the trailer, the storyline appears to be that of possibly three romances, but the āfriend/playerā is all over the place, and all are slow, cementing any relationships. I found this conversation, searching for the name of the theme song, the best thing about the show. I donāt think the leads are bad; seemingly, itās a shoddy script, and the director didnāt help it out! A bunch of good looking kids, makes it tolerable.
Second ML so toxic and SLAPPABLE..š¤š¤š¤š¤š”, He's so annoying , trash , loser and looks very old and…
Icha, I see you really didnāt like himššš. Neither did I, not even when he kneeled to her, as she had warned. āSLAPPABLEā even more, was his mamaš¤¬
I know right, kdrama romances these days tend to just be silly romcoms š¤¦š»āāļøI love that there's more…
While youāre running from K-dramas, Iām running from this crappy stuff on Hallmark. Therefore, Iām loving the K-Ds. In this great big medium, thereās something for us all, I guess.š. Iām also discovering Thai, Indian, Spanish-whatever catches my eye.
Wow. Just watch it. I don't think I've ever hated a character more than I hated the prosecutor. Any drama that…
Yes, Chetelli, I grew to hate him, too. But then I tell myself, Bae Soo Bin accomplished his goal, as an actor! Made us hate the character!š. I gave it a 10, as well.
Just finished watching Secret Love Affair (SLA). Loved it as much as SITR and OSN. I have really come to admire…
Yes, I like to see stories, where there is such class resistance, play out-even if done in flashpoints, to show accomplished outcomes. Joon Hee was young, I wanted to see his growth. Still, Ahn Pan Seok is an excellent director!
Something in the Rain is literally a masterpiece! Far the best of all his dramas. Thank you !!
Youāre right! It is my go-to romance drama! Brilliantly done! Have watched greater than 10 times. Since discovering Viki, am searching for other works, directed by him.
Ha Seok Jin, Lee Si-Won, Seo Dong Joo, Kwak Joon Bin, and of course, Orbit were the smartest players. My favorite player was Ha Seok Jin! He was shrewd in thought and strategy. He never bought into Orbitās dominance, but remained cunning and aloof-eventually, forming an alliance with Lee Si-Won. The two were similar, in how they played the game. I admired the memory skills and smartness of Seo Dong Joo, and liked how Kwak Joon Bin knew when to call it quits, not with a bowed head, but in admiration of his 4th or 5th place finish. Overall, I enjoyed this most creative, brainpower game! Hope thereās a Season 2.
HURT LOVERS, MOVING ON: Right away, I thought Bernita and Tom had bonded, prior to others arriving. Theyāre slowly finding each other. Jerome is good for her, as well; plus, their geography works! Why all the crying females? Enough, already! Sora needs to recognize sheās sending double messages. Harim is naming and claiming-going for the gusto, but switched from Dewey to Ricky too fast for me. Hope sheās sincere, because Ricky is my darling: Sweet, Cute, Frugal! All appear to be great catches: Dewey is just a whiz kid, Jimi appears sharp, warm and caring. Jisu, an accomplished attorney, but missing a great opportunity with Dewey. Heejin-I liked that she was able to tell Jimi some behaviors that were cooling her interest. Am enjoying the show, just wish the hosts wouldnāt talk as much. Who thought five (5) hosts were a great idea, anyway?!
Re: DP 2: Truth is, Iām an old lady who enjoy looking at the āMain Roleā hot guys! New to me was Ji Jin Hee-very pleasing to the eyes! Am now following his series, āMove to Heaven.ā However, it is the actor performing in the role of Nina, who amazed me: BAE NA RA! Looking up his body of work, revealed DP 2, as his FIRST āDramaā outing! His on camera time was remarkable! I could not get enough of him/her! Anxious to see his future works! Needless to say, DP 2 was great! Was shocked they pursued the storyline of government coverups-was glad to see! Looking like a Season 3, since there are #364 days to discharge! Canāt wait-more hot guys!
"What he brought to the character"? You mean apart from the script? His acting, his expressions, his tone of voice?…
In my initial comments, I assigned the problem to the producer and director for accepting that portrayal. However, I maintain, the actor has a responsibility. Mr Nohās character vacillates to more intelligent scenes, unlike the Prince. Great discussion! Be well!

Hi Irmar,
One gets a script, decides how he/she is going to present the character. Thatās why some get awards and some donāt. In āKing the Land,ā the Arab Prince actor received words on paper, with perhaps a description of a āquirkyā individual. The ACTORāS DEPICTION of quirkiness is what we got: Character vs Caricatureāthereby, debasing the character.
people actually doubting mr no is making me sad š cmon guys there's no way he would. this brings me back to…
As they say, everybody has a price, and itās those closest to you who can do the stabbing. Iām hoping Mr No will remember that basement job, from whence Gu Won rescued him. Weāll seeā¦
Awww, the ratings dropped. Understood! I agree with the uproar about the Arab Prince and other cultural attempts with Kdramas. Itās due to the lack of diversity in production companies and poor role selections. The actor was a bad choice, and what he brought to the character was even worse! It bothered me that the director and producer ACCEPTED that version. In āKing the Land,āthere are a few other things that make you go āHUH?ā But overall, Iām loving the series! Provides for an array of emotions. Looking forward to next weekend episodes. This show is already on my rewatch list!
Thus far, this show is absolutely hilariousārolling on the floor type of laughter. Although it has some more serious components, itās one of those shows where I canāt wait until the next showing! All the roles are well played! Donāt want to give it away, but that scene around the question of āwhat does your husband do,ā was the funniest thing Iād ever seen. MARVELOUS, SIMPLY MARVELOUS!
Love this law drama, it has everything: great portrayal of characters, laughter, various forms of love, mystery, fun, and suspense. Anxiously awaits each episode, and love how one leads into the next. Great writing and directing!
