Haven’t a clue what everyone else was watching. Loved this drama and the acting was good. Yes, it was rural and slow, as generally found in such populations. It was frustrating that their timing was so off, but some romances are just that way, otherwise, we’d all be perfectly matched. Sometimes, we just can’t be fulfilled romantically thru k-dramas, so, we punished the show with bad press.

I cannot speak in Japanese, but if I could, I imagine I’d find the same meaning for the title, ā€œBlack Girl’s Talkā€, as I do in English. The ownership is upon ā€œAā€ Girl, and infers HOW she speaks, or her SPECIFIC TOPICS of conversations. Minimally, ought to be a picture of a Black girl. I’m surprised the actors accepted those roles.

I found this show to be entertaining and a very noticeably handsome casting group, males and females. For me, the unfavorable characters were Sarah and Yeon SIL. Adorable were Se Chan and Se Jong—remarkable great acting. Could have watched them forever. Madame Wang’s role by Hwa Yun, deserved an award. Loved the couple pairings, but didn’t enjoy the repetitive relationship angsts for each couple. The show could have been done in 30 episodes.

Agree with your thoughts, especially about episodes. For me, 10-12, sometimes eight are all you need, when you remove the fluff and the "daydreaming/recall" scenes. Also, some people critique within the spirit they bring to a show. If negativity is their thing, that's what they see. If they don't like a certain genre, they give a lower rating— l've done that. So, I stopped watching or don't critique. Your review was an aid to me. Thank you!

Loving ā€œThe Village Barberā€. Always great to see celebrities outside their elements, willing to humanize themselves. The first episode is hilarious, even the village citizens are entertaining, in their honest assessments. Sang Yi is naturally personable, while Bo Gum and Dong Yeon are seeking their footing. Was looking forward to this show and it did not disappoint this viewer.

I guess a good drama is just that, no matter the culture. However, I watch K-dramas for the difference, which…
Stopped ā€œLifetime ā€œ 20 years ago—too many desperate, downtrodden, helpless women! Don’t watch Netflix that much, I’m primarily Viki tv for the Rom-Coms, Law, and some family dramas like ā€œIron Family.ā€ The best ever. Occasionally, Action.

Tried to watch ā€œCTLBTā€, but it didn’t hold my interest. Intended returning, but now reading it has a horror slant. I’m declining. Just don’t do horror, fantasy, and thrillers well. Go Youn Jung is such a great newcomer, whose work I wish to support…I guess not everything.

Exceptionally cute baby, especially with selected shots. Some of these complainers need to get a clue about technology and recognize basically, they are playing with the baby—interactions parents do everyday with kids. Not that the baby is working so much, but filming a day of him running around and playing on the set. The most they had to do was change outfits, feed, or hold the baby. Regular, parenting events.

Fifi, I understand, as I thought as you initially. I had to go back to review. I realized anything with dough, or flour basically, can be bread.šŸ˜‚

If you rewatch the opening, you’ll see they included pastries with variations. The contestants are bakers and pastry chefs.
On Single’s Inferno Season 5 Feb 4, 2026
Mina Sue is just a lost cause. Major emotional issues. Boss move for Min-gee; was hoping she’d pick Su-been. They are a better match, as are Sung-hun and Hee-sun. Seung-il had been disrespectful for too long. And although Subeen and Hee-Sun are a good match, the distance will sour the relationship. I think I-geon missed a lot of opportunities to move forward with Go-eum in the pool. My favorite, Jae-Jin should be okay. Love his vibe. Great cast, but the panel is a little off this year. Don’t understand the apologies to Mina Sue. The production team should shut up and let the panel say what we’re thinking at home. A more interesting show.
On The Boyfriend Season 2 Feb 4, 2026
Another great season for ā€œThe Boyfriendā€. Everyone seemed to have partnered or walked away with a heightened sense of self. I hope to never hear another gay person asking parents and other relatives for ā€œforgivenessā€ re: their sexuality, as if he/she has done something criminal. Wishing all of them happiness in their relationships or finding love.

Love the way you are is far superior to Something thing... and Hidden love for you is a minidrama, just like Returning…
That’s my point. If all you can pull from the contents of ā€œHidden Loveā€ is a mini drama, suggests it wasn’t needed. It appears the writer/production company was piggybacking off the classic, opposed to adding to its greatness.

Aware of ā€œHLFUā€, being a mini-drama. Basically, all is subjective, according to taste or bias. I must say, Chinese Empress, you fight for your beliefs.šŸ˜„
On Loving Strangers Jan 28, 2026
I arrived here, searching shows and synopses and reading the various comments. Had no clue, ā€œLoving Strangersā€ is a remake of ā€œMy Misterā€, which is a classic. That alone, pushes me towards ambivalence: in homage and authenticity. ā€œLove the Way You Areā€ was alright, but ā€œSomething in the Rainā€ was always in my head. ā€œHidden Loveā€ is a classic, so why attempt ā€œHidden Love for Youā€? Some things are meant to be left alone. And it’s basically unfair and appalling, if people are downgrading one show to boost another. It suggests a lack of faith in your selected version. I might come around to watching ā€œLoving Strangersā€ā€¦to be decided.
On The Boyfriend Season 2 Jan 28, 2026
Still cheering Taeheon’s philosophy on embracing his humanity. Whoever coined the phrase ā€œcoming outā€, seemed to have created a bigger problem for Gays. Coming out, suggests hiding, because something is wrong with one’s being or sexuality; outside the ā€œnorm.ā€ What is normal? Heterosexuals don’t announce their sexuality, why should others? And whose business is it anyway? It pained my heart to hear many of the Green Room participants refer to themselves as not being normal, not being able to have children. I thought, they need to be brought into the 21st Century. That’s why Taehoen’s philosophy was powerful: embrace yourself, accept who you are, to heck with the ignorance of others. Hopefully, the guys will learn to live THEIR lives and find happiness. Wishing them all inner peace and loving relationships.
