I was hanging in there, but I can't stand dramas with weak leads that allow themselves to be bullied over and over. The writer didn't give the leads much of a backbone.

Well, I hate to say this but the clam princess is fire as a bad girl 😂😂. I think Su Su will understand Xi Wu much better after experiencing the dream.

I will be frustrated if the leads break up for several episodes after they find out their identities. I hope they are like Romeo and Juillet without the ending tragedy. I hope they truly believe their love can overcome any obstacle. Oh, and I know he's trying to protect her, but I really don't like the FL's adoptive father.

Most dramas I watch have their ups and downs; few are flawless. What makes me enjoy a romance costume drama? I like it when the leads are sharp, have good chemistry and humor is a plus. This series has all three, so unless they go completely crazy with the plot, I will gladly finish it.

So far there are two couples romancing it up. The main and side couples.

I'm so glad the FL is smarter in the rest of the series than she was as the naive clam princess. It was driving me crazy when she let that wicked woman manipulate her so easily. Her more experienced self would have seen through it. However, I still really like the dream arc. Their background stories are interesting.

The last we saw of the king he was giving the order to the left council to send help to the crown prince. I guess we are left to assume that he reinstated the prince and continued being king with the powers in balance. Like you, I think they should have included him in the final 15 minutes of the show.
