its tough to classify this as romance. the drama has a very matured take on love and shows different types of love through different leads.. the whole picture doesnt make you think about their ages that too if you get the essence and resonate with it ..

hee soo appears in another story (briefly) but i dont remember any mention of bong soek. he did appear on tv once for saving people from a building in the tvshow they show the reaction from heesoo so maybe they are in touch... i hope so

yeah a lot of kim doo shik scenes were let go off.. but the author himself wrote the screenplay so we cant complain

the ending wasnt rushed the webtoon ended with dooshik returning home. the author only went on to make spinoffs of brief characters like of the guy who manipulates time(name;timing) with characters from moving connecting the universe

i dunno what the writer is aiming at but whatever it is its underwhelming . they made kim sabu melt with someone spewing a few contradictions to his ethics ... whaaaat this man literally went on fist fighting kang dong joo after he questioned his actions.. most probably theres only gonna be 4 eps left... and what is this idolising they are doing to woo jin i rewatched second season and its like hes perfect makes no mistakes puts himself in danger there no clash of ideas wtf.. characters should have flaws thats what make their arc worth watching not pitch perfect leads in that sense s1 is god tier having 3 leads , conflicting bg, competition to be the best , commiting thmselves for a purpose at last ,but not giving up their hunger for more..... thats more like it

As someone following Dr romantic from s1 I'm saying kang dong joo 's return is going to be a shift in the hierarchy of doldam swj or anybody else won't come close to kdj's skill and precision in the OR. He's just like master kim but with the obsession of following rules.. its may be because he is not a student of kim sabu (he was an overachiever even before he came to doldam)but a devotee instead!?

Theory : dong joo and inbeom is plan A . As said in s2 dong joo is serving in public health for 3 years for his mandatory service.as for seo jung she is doing her residency in CT surgery so logically she won't be in the team because of unspecified time duration of the program. Maybe kim sabu had planned it well ahead but kdj's enlistment came in btween. Since there is a certain time skip inbtw the seasons of the show going parallel to present then according to S2 kdj will be discharged after 3years that is now and maybe that is what the call at the end of ep10 is about.


Conclusion: most probably the cameo will in the last eps if he is coming back permanently or maybe not ..

So yeah it is confirmed yoo yeon soek is coming back as kang dong joo..

For a simple answer if you want a flirty romance trope somewhat better character arcs with thrilling scenarios and motivating backstories then yeah you should try s1. And you'll get to see why bu young joo became kim sabu and little more about his personal life
