At times oneâs experienced strange event which cannot be explained. Today was a day to rewatch last 2 episodes. Two crows flew next to me in a distance. One was while driving and it flew following my car side by side. While the other one while I was walking to the mall, it flew next to me for a little while. Guess was just a coincidence that they were just flying that direction but stillâŚ
For episode 40 I watched twice. Once was to watch wholeheartedly (Netflix) with no interruptions. I cried wholeheartedly as well. Once was to watch to write interpretation of the story and thoughts/ feelings (Youku).

Tantai Jin invited Li Susu to raise a toast to all the sins, then deaths in the world. After the two drank the last glass of wine which was a toast for together. The 3rd toast of bridal wine held a meaning for TanTaiJin?
Tantai Jin restored the Devil Palace back to the former appearance. Tantai Jin told Li Susu that all good and evil are caused by karma. As long as there are sins in the world, the demon god will never perish. Gongye Jiwu was obsessed in killing TanTaiJin didnât care about LiSuSu would be alive or dead. Why every time when they turn into devil, below their eyes will be filled with red eye shadow? TanTaiJin was around his eyes? I guess that there are different between someone with double eye-lids and someone with none. Before the power touched TanTaiJin, he already let out the sound âhmmmmmkâ once in pain. Was it suppose to touch him before he sounded in pain? Or maybe I mistaken and heard it. Sending her to be punished by thunderbolts. Closing his eyes feeling heartache for her when saw her suffering.
Here comes Gongye Jiwu being all evil absorbing power from everyone from the sect. Gongye Jiwu had gone awry. TanTaiJin sacrificed and threw his marrow-washing seal (I need to google from recap sites for the title of each formation and so on. As I always said I need a dictionary. Thank you for the viewers who write recap but reading so many recap was tiring lol lol) at Gongye Jiwu, absorb the black coloured power out from Gongye Jiwu. Guess he did have soft heart for him.
In order to make Li Susu hates him, Tantai Jin sacrificed the god-killing crossbow and shot at the disciples and others. YeQingYu, I am so glad to see you again even though was just that few minutes protected his people. Hear we able to see him with white hair in a few seconds? LiSuSu entered the world in her heart in grief and anger, saw her mother Chuhuang and Twelve God, and then became a god. LiSuSu took TanTaiJin to the last place that was not affected by the path of compassion. She understood that what TanTaiJin really wanted was to turn her into a god and kill him. The whole scene was rather intense with sadness. Thinking that he was about to sacrifice his life, I felt I am loosing someone who was very dear to me. Heartbreaking when he said my life was hard now let you end it. LiSuSu again touched me when she willing to die with TanTaiJin. He asked her it is time to let go but she refused. Now both fully understood each other yet nothing was left except regrets. Their last conversation was really sad. That song playing at the background made it sadder.
Suddenly I was thinking these scenes where they were wired up for these scenes. Feeling worried because was dangerous and tiring in the mid air yet need to look graceful. Respect!
Li SuSu woke up in Jingguo Imperial Mausoleum (Woke up costume changed). She used her power to see Tantai Jin. The 2 tombs were engraved by TanTaiJin, one as TanTaiJin YeXiWuâs husband (guess he didnât know if she really loved him?) and the other as YeXiWu, TanTaiJin beloved wife (He really loved him). Seeing LiSuSu cried and mourned in grief and sorrow hugging TanTaiJinâs tomb, sadden me a lot. Everything had ended and all left were regrets. Oh if the tomb was engraved after he turned into DevilGod, why he didnât changed it to LiSuSu instead? Maybe he knew her as YeXiWu and felt more comfortable with that?
The world has finally found peace, and humans, gods, and demons were able to coexist harmoniously. LiSuSu and her daughter traveled around the world, and eventually arrived at the Mo River, reminisced her time with TanTaiJin. She told her daughter AhMi, the story about MingYe and SangJiu. Everything was perfect except that TanTaiJin was not with them in presence however, a part of him left in the Dragon scale. Actually I wish to see a mini TanTaiJin and mini LiSuSu, twins.
LiSuSu reunited with TanTaiJin, who had been reincarnated scene was not included here. What do you think was in the writerâs mind? Perhaps, he or she wanted everyone to remember such ending forever.

Theyâre fate too cruel but I really hope that she will be as stable as Master Zhou will not change his mind about believing him. Believe him even with all the action took place. Sadly LSS often get trigger.

I really love the fact that they could just appear and disappear to places (teleport) or just simply wave a hand then things or people disappear. LSS came back to the Devil Palace to look for TTJ. Was this the right choice?
TTJ continued reasoning with LSS said how she deceived him, betrayed himâŚ. We able to see he was trying his best to drew her away. However when she shouted âYou are lying.â He paused, didnât admit it and kept silent. As TTJ was bewitched by DG and he grabbed LSSâs neck, with all the flashbacks of the people around him. TTJ defended them stated the opposite of what DG mentioned about love.
Intense scene followingâŚ. The DG attempted to take over Tantai Jin, but TTJ refused to become him. TTJ pleaded that he had already experienced the three lives of man, god, and demon, and was not bound to be like him. As a result, Tantai Jin regained control of his consciousness, absorbed DG and became the only true DG. Can he really control his fate? He also learned that to completely destroy DG, LSS needs to become a God herself but practicing Heartless Path (So how many path are there? đ And now only he recalled about what DM said?)
Looking so in love with her then suddenly switched his mood and said he will marry LSS and asked them to announce. GYJW absorbed devilâs power đ bad decision dear. Your stubbornness was killing you.

Actually compare to TTEOTM was nothing hahahha. I just watch and did nothing else. Novels were for collection. My friend told me too much âinfoâ in the book so I dare not read. She took a lot of effort to urge me Not to give up. I think was my second or third CDrama so I am not familiar or know much about CDrama and was 2 years ago. With TTEOTM I had asked questions and rewatch. Took more effort to understand the story. Wish more information was kept in the story and not edit out.
