I read a few times trying my best to understand your perspective. What I gathered was your interpretation was following a normal concept of a hero and villain story. Where heroes making sure no one suffer the same fate as them while villains took it the other way where they assure everyone suffer the same fate as themselves like to revenge? Heroes revenge too?
First take, referring eunuch, the “crow orchestra” during XL and YBC’s wedding and the maids?
Second take, through realization the outcome if Devil God reborn, he will not allow himself to turn into Devil God. You ask does that make sense? I guess human changes over time despite any reason. Yes some will never change as well. I feel with TanTaiJin, his whole world was YeXiWu. His actions all based on her. Does that make sense?

Thank you for taking time to respond to my query. I see your point. I do too thought of those statements when I was watching it for the first time. Maids, I really had good thoughts about them. My guess what you had described was the time when he was young that these maids did pitied him and gave him love and care. But selfishness took place in later of life. In fact everyone around TTJ. For the maids, one was afraid of him and hated him and felt because of him she had a misery life. She betrayed him twice. The other one found love and had a daughter, left him to suffered for many years. Came back for him when her daughter was kidnapped. The words she said to him when he had the other maid killed. I get what she said just because someone did that to you doesn’t mean you can kill them. But again, if he didn’t do that she may betray him for the third time? Maybe what she mean there were better ways? I believed they had good intention at first but how genuine were they to react later in life. XL, I guess they were just kids. Naive and were straightforward in their actions. He did showed his care. But when he said just because he didn’t want to start the war, he was nice to him? His father kept him in the cold palace because his mother died giving birth to him. So so sorry I mentioned the opposite of your comment. Guess I am just confused. CJM finally understood that the nails, the treatment…. Everything he suffered back then were not because LSS hated him, but because she hated the demon god. CJM thanked LSS for all that she did. He promised LSS that he will never be contaminated by the demon god’s power.
Scene of Gongye Jiwu and Mo Nv… Oh goodness why sleep with her? Worried she will take her own life? She was this selfish, she would never take her own life.

At the Water-Splashing Festival, filled with joy at first but followed with the event which lead to chaos at the Jing City. SiYing and JieMin, wish others could see them to see what they did. SiYing I had never hated you before till now. Knowing you have your reason but threaten CJM with humans’ life really cruel. Forcing CJM to use the power from God-Slaying Crossbow which he never willingly use. Causing everyone fear him, hate him…. That smile dear SY which I hated a lot. Found your devil fetus? Here came our heroine trying to save our hero and this was how he found out about the evil bone which was sealed in her body. Who was this idiot who came hurting our CJM!!!!

Our CJM was chained up. Cen Mi’s stupid magic artifact was useless. I think our IPhone could record better evidence. Even our car camera able to record better evidence. Father Qu didn’t know anything about CJM right? Master Zhou knew right? Flashback memories for CJM.
Ooooh that laugh, CJM finally realized all his sufferings was predetermined. He had lost that determination? That confidence that he will never turn into Devil God? Disbelieved and laughed like a mad man. Chief Cen and DM how dare you! Master Zhou and even Father Qu had stopped attacking him and the rest of his “sect brothers” still hoping to find out the truth…..
