Yes me too last year could only go up to level 2. Juggle with working and taking care of family cannot continue. Yes must agree with you that Korean alphabet is easier however it will change at certain time.

Cantonese is a dialect while Mandarin is the language. China is very big having so many dialects. Same here I wish I have the abilities to learn more languages just enough for me to travel do not need to be expert in it.

As for me was Korean and no time to pick up again. Korean is like a puzzle to me taking few alphabets and put them together as a word I mean this is how I see it. I guess how you see it. My Chinese is not that good but able to recognise words here and there. For Korean and Chinese the different I guess is the position of the words for example I want to go to the market and in Korean will be market I want to go. Each language will have their own difficulties. Korean will have past and present tense and word changes while Chinese will just add some words stated the time frame. For me if you able to master a language is a blessing. Seeing Jackson Wang able to, influence me to try Korean again. I also wish I able to learn more languages just enough for me to travel if I have the opportunity.
