Just finished it, it got way better around the end. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! although I wished there were more depth to some characters but it was kinda thrilling..
it just needed more adjustments to the script, plus recasting few characters .
* the drama ends with ep 24, the last two episodes (25,26) are mostly just fillers of Bai Zhe and Xing Man romance.
so.. I think this is the first time where I spent 70% of the show skipping the scenes over and over, it only got my attention around ep19 which is literally 4 episodes away from the end š¤
Itās interesting to watch, but too complicated?
I only kept with it because of the detective he seemed interesting and charming, I was curious about his backstory and scenes. however the genius character, it was way too unrealistic and didnāt catch my attention

When itās a duo where one is cold and aloof and the other is energetic and friendly, they bring the best out of each other and the actors who played these roles did a great job~
* to be fair as storylines goes it wasnāt perfect but it was pretty good., there were some aspects which couldāve been better if they explored it more
* Iām pissed that I came across it last year in youtube and skipped through the episodes here and there and didnāt focus or care about it back then, maybe due the poor translation? but now after seeing the whole thing I became obsessed, definitely gonna rewatch it now and then.
have a lot to say but. Currently in episode 11 and humm.. the story is interesting but along the way lot of scenes seemed cheap and unrealistic, but since the male lead isnāt bad to look at plus my curiosity to see the scenes between Xiao Yi and Bai Zhe Iām still gonna watch it. however I donāt know if itās due to the acting of some characters or the script but itās not that thrilling. so if you wanna pass time watch it, itās seriously decent
The fact that it took me only 4 days to finish the whole 49 episodes says a lot, this show healed me and broke me at the same time, I donāt think I will ever recover from it.
This is one of the shows where it didnāt need a kiss or intimacy to seal the case, itās the opposite, the lack of it made it be what itās, it was truly the definition of a masterpiece.
from the first episode you can sense the greatness of this work. even though itās a censorship piece but the emotions and the chemistry were enough. usually I skip lot of scenes but with this one.. each scene is art! the characters were portrayed so well, itās a true masterpiece.
I watched multiple movies and tv shows, but this the first time ever someoneās stuck with me. In winter Begonia, he gave a surreal performance. all the emotions, either is it happy or sad it just felt so real, he can make you cry of laughter in one moment and the next break into sadness, what a great actor.
after watching him on (the inn) I was really amazed by his abilities, he is such a good talker, great businesses mind, good with words and calm. a great guy~
he is such a strong fella who went through a tragedy after a tragedy but still made it! he worked hard and deserves happiness and success. I'm rooting hard for him~
one of the Youku staff needs to āaccidentallyā release all the remaining episodes, just for the fans to have a chance to download it then they can delete it forever from their files š¦¦
after watching the full episodes, Iām genuinely confused why suddenly they decided to ban it in china.. there was literally ZERO scene which will make you do that š so just the fact that it was adapted from a BL novel was an enough reason is INSANE
