at the beginning when the workers were sitting and having their ālunchā the picture that scene resembled went like a lightning strike in my brain. the way the guy in the middle was the one with long hair and just the way the scene was filmed made me immediately think of the āthe Last Supperā and to make sure I tried to count how many people were there. and ofc there were 13 people in total. I think it was intentional and they must already talked about it.. but I find myself so cool for noticing it lol
after seeing the scenes which were filmed yet didnāt get released.. I see why china was scared to air that lol, dear lord they truly didnāt hold back, the tension was over the roof let alone all the SWEET HEARTWARMING dialogue š that itself wouldāve created a-whole other buzz..
and what frustrates me the most that I watch both Fu Xinbo and Zhang Xincheng interviews and appearances on variety shows and itās so painful how thereās zero mention of JITD. This show had potential, just the promo of it wouldāve made it a HIT. god how I hate censorship *sigh*
tbh only watched it for the two male leads (because Iām draining a bromance) and thatās what kept me going. it wasnāt that great in general but kinda okay
when he first appeared on justice in the dark my brain worked overtime trying to remember where I saw him before. now looking at his history itās impressive how he was in few things only yet I saw him on three things out of it! on SDOC3, youth and melody and now JITD.
so, it was definitely worth the stress of waiting all these years.
the psychological thrill, crime and drama, the tension. everything is just BEAUTIFUL
The chemistry between the male leads was insane that I literally felt it in my core. the looks, the subtle-touches, the emotions, the yearning, just mwah 10/10 š¤š¼
and tbh it was pretty obvious that lot of scenes were not included, some parts were missed and some were filmed low-key. However the general vibe was much better than I thought, watching it and thinking so if this is the censored and cut version what the hell was on the un-censored and uncut one?
at first when I saw it was 30 episodes, I thought thanks god! but after itās over I canāt help but which it was more and more. and considering the fact that this work is a censored work which was filmed with low budget and quality, the overall result was pretty good~
all Iām gonna say, after the latest episodes, that homophobic group must be crying and throwing up trying to justify and misinterpret their dialogue/scenes to a yo bro no-homo though š
recently, Zhang Xincheng (PS) got a song request and the song was āyou raise me upā and he got flustered and said āoh this.. it canāt be sungā AND Fu Xinbo (LWZ) was asked āhave you had any drama recently?ā and he too got flustered and said āit canāt be said/mentionedā
Itās genuinely heartbreaking seeing the amount of heavy censorship this show has that even the actors are forced to pretend like it never existed):
The amount of homophobia is hilarious, thereāre MILLIONS of heterosexual shows out there so go watch that. donāt bring your nonsense here.
p.s: If you saw the chemistry between these two men and thought āoh brothers awwā I think you should go and re-check your definition of brotherhood. because seems like you look at āincestā and thatās somethings bigger for you to worry about than crying over two same-sex people staring at each other.x

tbh he is extremely charming that it became overwhelming
