I think he's beyond a hunger strike at this point and is fully depressed. He probably feels hopeless because he "owes" his mom for adopting him, and he knows he shouldn't try too hard to convince MJ to be with him after he caused her first career downfall (I'm still not sure how her rescuing a fallen man is bad press) and even now he comes with the baggage of being sickly and having a trifling controlling mom. So he feels like he just has to live his life for the mom, yet is depressed because he actually found love but can't have it because of his mom. His life is not his own, so he's given up pretty much. It's sad they have to go this far and oarents wait this long before finally giving in because time and again we see that parents try to have their way with their kids life until its too late.

I may be missing things because I watched without subs but how could they possibly make SJ out to be the murderer? They have plenty of cameras around luke SW used to quickly resolve her being framed for sending that enail. They should be able to look and see that she came later and soon after she was in the right vicinity the police were called. They should also see SA running around like a lunatic all day, even if they didn't catch the actual crime, she looks the most suspicious. And as usual noone else is in the building. They act like it's such a big company yet they only have like 5 employees 🙄

I wonder if SJ's ex is going to have the nerve to act like he wants her back? That would be really crazy but I wouldn't put it past his greedy a$$ Had he been a good husband and dad he would've eventually gotten everything he wanted, but now he will just get what he deserves.

This is really crazy that the entire show instead of working for the company she would be set to inherit (if she was a halfway decent daughter and employee), SA has only spent the most time working to screw over SJ in various ways. I can't imagine prioritizing someone like that. She's a true sasang stalker fan yikes 😬

I didn't even think of possibly revealing all the parents, there's a ton of adoptees in this show! I doubt they'll all find their parents but hey if they want to extend the show to do that, I'm ok with it.

I watched without the subs so O had to guess a lot of the dialog. When I heard those birds I was like omg hurry and get them fresh clothes inside before they poop all over them 😅😅😅

Wow, I finished. So til the end she rejected monetary help from her biological grandpa, and kept raising those kids on the minimum. Which isn't a problem if she saved a lot, but did she? Doubtful. Then they were left with another baby and decided instantly to take that one in??? I can see if she was living in a big house with grandpa's support, but in a small apartment as a single mom, ridiculous. And they made the lawyer give away his shares so I guess they're going to become like her parents, living in squalor with tons of kids and little money even though the husband has a good paying job.

Also what happened to the murderer aunt? I guess she deleted herself but who knows. How did they pay for the baby's surgery since she was rejecting everyone's help. Who knows?

Very weird drama.

Ep 18

Wow this girl loves to push away her blessings. She finds out that her play grandpa is rich but doesn't want any help or inheritance. And up and moves the kids in the middle of a cold night. Also takes the baby to a freezing mountain hike where she could've fell or froze with him, and refuses a ride home. I know she was thrusted into motherhood but she really doesn't put the kids' best interests first at all.

And it was never addressed how the young one who set the place on fire was thrown across the room by the lawyer. Was that a normal reaction to seeing your couch on fire?

Also can someone explain why the lawyer can't just tell his brother that he has a different mom? His dad is still his dad, so any inheritance is valid, does he think his brother won't like a half brother? What is the big deal that you're letting yourself get forced into a crappy marriage?

I agree, it infuriates me when kdramas have all these people doing horrible illegal things throughout the show then try to portray them as a good person who gets no consequences in the end.

So true, I was flabbergasted that they have the nerve to adopt all those kids when they don't even have the means. Then don't even have life insurance so the kids will be taken care of somewhat if they died. And the dad was supposedly a doctor so I really don't know why they were so poor.

I would like more eps too, it got good! Also I would love to see a few eps of SJ and the ml be a happy family for a while instead of there just being a wedding the end.

EPS 1 & 2

I'm really shook by these first 2 eps, it's my first time watching this in 2025 but it seems like so many people have failed these kids.

1. Their parents are ridiculously irresponsible to adopt all of those kids, yet hand out money to help neighbors etc. when they didn't even have descent space for themselves. A doctor dad is donating his work so much that he doesn't even buy a big enough house for his ever growing family? Why doesn't the mom just work in an orphanage, then she can take care of every kid, which is great since she genuinely cares, and they should get government assistance and donations, and have a decent sized building to house them.

2. Disgusting of the parents to not have lots of life insurance. You will adopt a bunch of kids but not make sure that they are taken care of if you die? Speaking of taken care of, how did you raise your daughter that she doesn't know how to properly take care of herself, and seems to not have helped at all with her siblings either. So now she's floundering around not knowing what to do with all these kids besides the fact that they have no money. Most older siblings are experts at helping take care of their younger siblings. How is the 20 year old so inept, yet the eldest little brother seems great at taking care of the youngers, it really shows that her parents didn't teach her right and let her be selfish and doofy since she's not even good at her job.

3. Friends/neighbors: The parents were such good people loaning money and helping others yet no friends or neighbors are willing to help them in a meaningful way? I'm sorry but if someone is at risk of homeless, young kids at that, so what if it will be cramped and uncomfortable for a while, you should be able to deal with that so that they can at least have a roof and some food. How selfish can y'all be?

4. Government: Korea has no assistance for single parents or orphaned children? No laws to stop people from kicking people out on the street with no warning or notice?

Why is the adult dumber than the 5yo kid? The kid took the package and out it in a perfectly logical place on the table. Then the grown up employee gets the package, doesn't bother to look at it and just throws it away. FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY!

And here we go, their dad who had nothing to do with the insident makes one apology and they're ready to fold. They don't have 1million? Well I bet if they sold their house and salon they would, just like their family did! But at the very least they should pay 3x as much as what the Pis paid because 3 members of that trash family abused them horribly. And then they should pay separately for those defaming comments CA made! That is fair, and they still don't have to suffer and lose everything like the Pis did.

Ugh, if only they'd consult with a lawyer, recognize that being smart and fending for yourself isn't your strong suit!

Ep 74

Finally the car insident truth comes out! I really wish the Pi family will consult a lawyer and financial advisor, they shouldn't make any decisions themselves, let someone with brains do it before they ruin their blessings again. Hire a lawyer on retainer, they have several cases to manage between SJ's ex, his mistress, and her sister. They should be rolling in dough with all the injustices, pain and suffering, theft, etc. they've endured. But let me guess, they'll f it up again.

Omg all their lies came out at the wedding but MJ's mom didn't put SA's mom about her first husband? See, this family just loves taking hits, so dumb. You don't win any prizes by letting people beat you down without fight back.

Also, I don't want MJ to marry that actor guy if he's such a punk that he didn't expose CA's lies or that MJ's families lies were his idea at the wedding disaster! They were all airing their secrets and he did nothing to defend them and didn't even check on his fiance when she ran out. Who wants a weak man like that? I guess I can't blame him too much because they barely know each other and jumped into almost marriage like idiots to begin with. Unprotective, Mama's boys are not it, let them be codependent with their mom forever, never marry them and you're ok with marrying their mom!

Ok now. This makne sister comes home pregnant saying she wants to get married, and thinks she can trash her sisters lives as if she can predict what her life will become? Both of them got married young thinking they'd stay married old, but two different but very common things came and changed that for them, does she think she's immune? Then there's the third common thing where whack husband/fathers just straight run away, like with her own dad. She needs to change her attitude real quick!

And to say that her siblings didn't show her love when their whole lives got turned upside down because of HER mistake! SJ doesn't love you yet she let you borrow her car. You get in the accident, are too dumb to fight for your own interest because you didn't even cause the accident, causing yourself to be in a ton of debt. YOUR DEBT. Yet the entire family had to take it on and downgrade their lives because of YOUR DEBT, then you flee when y'all's life gets downgraded because of YOUR DEBT leaving them to scramble to make things work by themselves. Now you come home months later pregnant by an actor and want to act like you were mistreated by the family and that you're entitled to look down on them and they can't blame you for trying to upgrade your life, oh and they got to help you lie and scheme in order to marry into that family at all!? This girl has some nerve! Lololol lolol.

Like I said in the beginning, family or not, there's no way I'm taking on someone else's debt when I can't afford it. It's dumb. Now everyone's in the gutter together, it's her fault, and she's still being dumb AF. But I do hope it works out because it's clear she's not evil, just dumb, ignorant, spoiled, and ungrateful lol.

Also I want SA's dad to fire SJ for his bs reason to force SW to start his own company and succeed in his peaceful environment. Idk why they're trying so hard to stay at such a company that allows abusive and conniving behavior.
