Something interesting to look at
Writing my thoughts about Playboyy, I’d like to say I started to watch when it was ongoing, watched the first 7 eps and had a long break. Then I decided not to drop and finish it. Why? Despite Playboyy is a low budget project with many failures in its production, the show has potential.
What did I like? The main thing is that it’s a kind of erotic thriller with cinema d’auteur vibe. It has an idea, a plot, a question about the real killer until the last minutes. Some characters have very logical motivations for their actions. I liked the image in many scenes, I liked some actors and hope to see them onscreen again.
What was weaker? The feeling of the low budget movie was quite strong and permanent while I was watching it. It was too dark, some characters and scenes looked very unnatural, the angles of filming didn’t impress me as much as they could.
In general, if they make the season 2, I will watch. Because they tried and they wanted to make something special.
