I love this drama, I love PMY but one thing I think the story is doing wrong is posing way too many suspects and still introducing new ones even at this point in the run. It'd be interesting if Seol Ah still proved to be the mastermind behind a lot of the storylines in this, but atp she's constantly switching between victim and suspect, along with many others. Looking forward to what's next, framing her as a murder suspect once again and with only 4 episodes is an interesting turn of events.
Man I'm such a sucker for this drama, I love ittttt... but I do think we're running a bit late with the whole reveal about the explosion in boston :/, everything else is top-notch, that's the only thing that kinda bothers me a bit.
Ah, what a waste of a setup, the story could've really been much more ambitious and they just comforted to the classic cliché office romance with a side of inexplicable love triangle and evil family member. I've said it before, but it could've been a much more mature and actually serious drama about parenthood without setting aside the comedy and light-hearted moments. Instead we got Evil Family Member ™️making the leads' lifes miserable and getting away with it until the last 1 or 2 episodes.
Been really enjoying this one, story is simple enough for me to avoid overthinking it and just enjoy it as it comes, it's a light-hearted and just a very enjoyable ride. The weird almost blue-pinkish smoke filter on some scenes does throw me off, and I don't even know why they use it lol
Min Uk completely kills my entire excitement for this drama. Tbh they had everything going for them in the first few episodes, I really thought they'd be able to tell a mature yet fun story that didn't revolve around a past connection or a dumb crush, just two adults taking care of their shared responsibility and acting like actual adults. But as with many other dramas, we fell into the same hole full of clichés, a forced love triangle, clueless leads and more... :(
Got pretty disappointed when it was announced that Nam Ji Hyun wasn't going to be in s2, then my excitement immediately jumped back up when I saw Kim Hye Yoon on the teaser :D
No way, a lead in a k-drama learning about something the other party sacrificed and NOT giving up on the relationship because of said sacrifice and effort?!??!?!?! Mature levels of communication!?!?!?!??!?!?! HOLY
I've never celebrated a couple as much as Sang Gi and Ms. Kim. Literally got up from my chair from the excitement…
Anyways I loved this drama, no hardships, no unnecessary complexities. could the characters have given us more and gone through tougher development??? Sure. But I really looked forward to the next week after watching some episodes every week. It's a very cozy drama for me, wish we could get more and I'm gonna miss this warm cast that to me felt like a very united family
Honestly, I feel a bit of quality drop for this last 2 episodes? It feels like Gyong U's past was never dealt with, and I was fine with Bong Su and Yeomhwa at first but I can't quite put my finger on what exactly bothers me about the pair, maybe it's dragging on a bit too long? Like Yeomhwa's determined I get it but it gets to a point lmao. Bong Su's obessesion with living is part of his character, he's selfish, and I get he was a kid when he died but it's also getting a bit tiring.
Haven't seen in a while a pairing of leads where they both exactly match each other's energy so well, I'm excited for what's to come, shame it's gonna be so short.
I can't hate on this drama even with the romanticizing of stalking because the premise had potential and the acting was done well even with the wreck of a story they were given. The acting, the sad and melancholic vibes and the visuals really carried this drama for me. The concept of witches, their rules, solving the mystery; I feel like some of that worked with the stalking because of the way the story was written. But you could also take those same concepts of witches and their rules and give it a different writing and end up with a more cohesive story, that doesn't romanticize weird concepts and that actually has good pacing. Maybe explain the curse more, find its origin or cause I liked both couples, wish the story had been different, the potential was there but it simply failed at executing it.
Really enjoyed it. I agree the writing was a bit lacking at times and that made it difficult to follow occasionally, but it's not that huge of a nitpick imo. What's super worth highlighting is Seul Gi's and Jae Yi's relationship, their love, genuine care and warmth for each other was super palpable and I couldn't be happier with their characters. Personally I'd love to see more of Hye Ri and Su Bin, not as Jae Yi and Seul Gi since there likely won't be a season 2. But I felt like they flowed together really well.
Am I the only one that feels the story telling got a little bit weird? The characters made several U-turns in the past few episodes and some even walked back in their progress made throughout the entire season. I have some hopes but I don't think they'll wrap up a lot of the loose ends in just 30 minutes :( It's a shame really cuz the story has some really bright points.
how is everything gonna be wrapped up in the last ep? unless its a longer one or a second season will be done?…
My guess is an open ending, I haven't read the webtoon but that's what I think is more likely to happen. I feel like there's too much stuff to wrap up and it's impossible to do it efficiently while giving enough closure to the main characters.
