In the Ep 5 preview, Juran confesses to the director that Jeongnyeon worked at the coffee shop for her and pleads to have her brought back. I doubt she will expose Jeongnyeon, only to reveal her that she was working there too and request Jeongnyeon 's return.

Ok you are right. But that look on her face was a bit suspicious. I'm sorry that i commented wihought seeing the whole episode. But maybe she knows who actually told the director.
Her mother is probably the young girl we see at the very start who trained with the director. That's my guess.
Ok Wait sorry, In the end of episode 3rd it is revealed that the girl (Chae Gongseon) was indeed Jeongyeon 's mother. But its all so confusing like i said that if in day of father's death scene Jeong Ja was present who is Jeongyeon's sister it is not possible apparently as it would mean that she is Jeongyeon's aunt anad not her sister. And the father would be actually Jeongyeon's grandfather and not her father like Jeongyeon said.😕

During her audition, Jeongnyeon was asked to act out the topic of sadness. She recalled the moment of her father's death to convey the emotions. This clarifies how that girl is Jeongnyeon and not her mother as we can also see Jeong Ja who is her sister during that scene. If that girl was Jeongnyeon's mother then it would make Jeong Ja her aunt and not her sister.

Actually she is not. The young girl we see at the very start who trained with So Bok is none other than Jeongnyeon herself who had to change her name after coming to Mokpo for some reasons. I can't spoil much but the hint is, it has something to do with a scene in episode two of her audition and Kang So Bok having a flashback of that girl singing and the crowd cheering for her. Plus Yeong Seo's mother was listening to that girl's singing in the record player meaning that the girl, a.k.a Jeongnyeon was quite populer before things went downhill and her family shifting to Mokpo after her father's tragic death along with other people who also lost their loved ones in the same incident.
