Nahh...I think XL is important to XY as much as the other two MLs. About Love bugs again, in removing scene, I can definitly see his affections, she's more on confused side. She definetly loves him. If they weren't on enimies, there will be more chances on romance(husband & wife type). But then it won't be lost you forever. I have only skim through Novel, i have feeling tong hua wants to make us miss XL forever in su h a sadistic way🤣..I wish she was softer..💙

Guess I did not realize Lovesickness song is for XL&XY. And about the love bug, I haven't think much about it since she can also plant in CX. But i will be rewatching those scenes. I did not deny attraction between them, him drinking her blood as a symbol of the intimatcy. But i feel it's still different from XY&TSJ union. yes I wish the drama show more oh XL and relationship with Chenrong more so we would get the feel why XL is so loyal to him. Even though Im not on Yaoliu ship, I wish him still alive in end. As about TSJ and YaoJing , I understand more why he'd fall in love her because she has given him another life he embraces more. And her girly shyness come when undress him in early eps. And some other sparks. She was sort of mad to find out hes TSJ and mad he's has fiance. So i think it start romance start from there. WXL and XL is more of push pull teasing couple lol. This can develop into romance as other dramas too. But in here the character choices and circumstances are not. I like this scene when he came to sleep on her bed and left his silver hair. Jing/YSQ saw it and was super jealous. 😅I think XL is indicating this is my person. (He stopped doing this when she became princess as he thought they werent suppose to be) And she draw faces on XL is cute...naughty 😂. Those are the scenes. And I see XY keep his pictures in mirror and misses him, brewing poison. So i think she attracted and tempted. But when she met him as Ffb, she's very happy but it's more like meeting a buddie again. As for why I'd ship YaoJing because of how he is straight forward with his feelings and just persue what he wants directly. I mean in a love union , try to get together and have balanced feeling is what I go for. I'm tired of those "love u so much but cant tell or resist because of blah blah" thingy. I am YaoJing shipper so I maybe a bias (I do have characters actions to prove). But I wanted to focus on XL and his relationship with XY in this reply. Among 4 main characters, I have most difficulty in connection with XL. My first impression on XL is that this is romantizing abuser type (while I have warmed up to other 3 characters already), to me he is fictional of fiction characters . In real life, would a woman fell in love with who throw her off tree suddenly and drown her (to hurt cang xuan). Well, there are women who take risks. I have seen in my surrounding all of those relation are doomed 100%. But this is fiction, bad boys are popular (not all fans will take real life bf who is bad though right). and I also do not get how XL would fall in love with XY that much to sacrifice lives and blood. Don't hate me yet, please read my full long reply. 😅 I come to realize how XY is scared to let XL into her dream. I come to my theory XL come into XY life for temption and to face her fear. On the surface though they do have mutual friendship or platonic one. XL suddenly become her like guardian angel. In here, I take XL as temptation we would like to get yet feel not so real. But on a more practical feel, XL represents soldier and bravery, who has been killing and fighting for long time and feel responsible for it. There is a saying that love can occur quick for soldier. So when he met XY, with certain mutual feels would fall for her quick but would not persue her because he is mature enough to guess they arent meant to be, besides she is also having another guy. So he just act as her guardian but wont not let her know as not feel to any burden as he may have felt to his mentor. I take it as bravery. I know many of XL fans are disappointed how he died. But i think it is honourable because he had fulfilled his mentor wish and as a soldier. His heart is fulfilling too as he had made the woman he loved have the life she yearned for. His life mission is completed. I think he died with no regrets, which makes so memorable about this character. I guess the author purposely make it that way. About how much romance XY feel for him is still vauge for me. But if she did i wont be surprise. She definetly is tempted and he will stay special in her heart (romance or not is up to other viewers / readers. we can fall in love more than once in lifetime). Criticizing is fine...as long as it is based on the actions in drama she/he criticizing about (sometimes some facts are not so accurate) it's fine as long as the critics are polite in letting out their thoughts. The thing is that if they slander a lot on a character that there are also viewers liking. Supper annoyance is in the air. Unnecessary words fights can happen which lead to....ummm i don't think is good. And i also find criticizing on actors is bad too. Because it can show that commentor is quite shallow and sounds big headed in not thinking there are people who can see different. Fan wars can happen. That's why I think it's better to just focus on a character you really understand or appreciate about but if one is going comment about a character she/he dislike (but other people like), try to be polite and ask in a more questionable way than do direct insult. Especially those who said they skipped a part of that character but judge that character like he/she knows completely. Sorry i think i used a bit rage word in this reply. But i think debate should be polite.

I really enjoy this character and Wanyi's portrayal is just perfect ❤️. I was attached to him since the beginning. I don't actually hate him like some other do when he can't recognize YX early. This character is so layered. But circumstances make him like that.

Xiao Yao: Cheeky, kind-hearted, fierce, lonely
Cang Xuan: Politics-scheming, ruthless, tormented, justice (overall feel)
Tushang Jing: Gentle, artistic, selfless, optimistic, loving
Xiang Liu: Rough, old-soul, warm-hearted(deep inside), responsible edit:bad boy/anti hero
Fenglone: Decent bachelor , optimistic 😅
