I hope there's a GL historical like this. I've read in reddit that there's a female character falling for the FL who sometimes dresses as a man. They could've been endgame. I'd consider watching this if there's not much omance between ML and FL and more of the political side of the story.
I hope they both do the Clear and Muddy Loss of Love GL novel! That one is good. I actually imagine Vivi as Empress Nangong Jingnu and Wang Lao Ji as Qiyan Agula/Qi Yan the empress' husband. I know its slow burn but definitely love the storyline of that GL. And the characters' power dynamics there are superb!
