During the bed scene, Charan’s lust and hesitation felt so real. But when I shifted my focus to Kanin, it often felt choreographed. Maybe the direction of seductive Kanin felt a bit too unnatural for my taste.
Anyway, hats off to Zee. When it comes to portraying love and lust, it’s hard to find someone who comes close to him in the Asian entertainment industry.
None of the scenes in the trailer are part of the series. They were just made to interest investors so they could…
I agree with you. That's not romance. It's abuse. I feel so uncomfortable watching it, not because it depicts abuse, but because I feel the series and some viewers are romanticizing it. I hope DMD wrote an upcoming script in which Paytai clearly realizes he's been abused by Ramil's father, Ramil, etc., and that the decisions and feelings Paytai believes are his own are actually heavily influenced by that abuse.
It seems they lack time for proper character development, yet they make room for less important things such as Nunew's flexing and that absurdly long staring scene. My back hurts just watching it. While their romance should be the main focus, I'm completely at a loss as to what caused Kanin's sudden obsession with Charan, and now I'm scared they won't show Charan falling for Kanin in a convincing way. So far, a lot of the logic just isn't making sense to me.
I've seen a few people say Charan's expressions are monotonous, but you know, he's a royal guard. Lightly bickering with Kanin, who is a prince, is emotional and playful enough, don't you think? To me, he would look unprofessional if he behaved more expressively.
Zee has blown up 2024 by declining several other acting gigs and committing to two DMD series, Zomvivor and The Next Prince, that are taking forever. Unbelievable.
