The last 5 episodes deals with how they bring the villains down. The leads shud have swapped back in the last episode. Swapping back in episode 23 was too soon. Anyways they have a happy ending with the FL getting pregnant in the historical storyline and giving birth to a baby in the modern storyline.

Yep but in the end when they were pushed to the lake maybe he swapped again. One drama where ML gets pregnant aft body swap was the Thai lakorn Leh Lub Salub Raerng where in the last episode ML is shown as heavily pregnant.
This is a drama where I hoped the leads don't swap back as it was evident that the ML made a better empress as he could had the inner palace politics and the queen mother way better than the FL. While the FL made a better emperor as she could lead the country from the front in the crisis. Yes, she was still not adept at handling the court matters but could have taken the help pf the "Empress" from time to time.
Also on a side note I would love to see a drama where after a body swap the new emperor has amnesia and really thinks he is a man and the new empress is stuck as a woman until his 'husband' gets back the memories.
