Finished ep 10, not fully convinced with chaeyeons acting yet. She has her good acting moments especially in scenes where she's being bubbly.. I can see the leads have good chemistry but i can't fully get into it because chaeyeon has a cardboard expression whenever she has to act shocked. Like the end of ep 10, there's no emotions in her eyes. Park dal's actress in comparison is so fun to watch.
If anyone wants to start watching this show, then before reading any of the comments or reviews here, please try the first two episodes and then form an opinion about it.
People saying it's overhyped weren't there when it was first airing. This drama was not hyped at all in the beginning and was not among the highly anticipated drama of 2024. But it started to take off after a few episodes purely through word of mouth. I don't know what's so hard to believe about the high rating here. People enjoy romcoms especially the ones with good chemistry, engaging plot and a damn good soundtrack.
Many might think it got popular due to the ML's good looks but Byeon Wooseok is not a rookie. He has acted before and yes he was always good looking but he never became big until this drama as the character of Sunjae was just too good. And tbh, many people (before the hype) started watching it because of Kim Hyeyoon and not BWS, me included, as she was more well known than BWS. (Although I had watched and enjoyed 20th century girl)
Too slow and draggy for my taste. The plot was very promising but it was starting to get draggy. I think for a plot like this, it would have been better as a movie or an 8 episode drama. I could only take it till episode 5. Sorry not for me.
