Does anyone know of vol 8 has been picked up for adaptation yet? And if not, why not? And also why had the entire lost tomb book series been produced completely out of order?
Filmed book 1, then prequel, then 2nd series sequel, then circled back for book 2, skipped 3, filmed 4-7 and the 3rd sequel, finally went back to vol 3 and then now the first sequel. But nothing for the main series ending??? So cofusing
A lot of comments about all the reasons why this is good, which are correct but i want to give a special shout out to Gun in this. There have been a lot of actors who have tried to pull off the twin thing but this is by far one of the BEST renditions I've ever seen. From any country in any version of media. Ive watched this twice now and Gun has me questioning if im actually watching two people. His changes in the tiniest gestures and microexpressions is incredible. Because like keep in mind, he doesnt just have to act like two brothers, he has to act like one of the brothers pretending to be the other one. And its actually INSANE the distinct difference between when hes black and when hes white pretending to be black. I dont know how he did it, i just know that it was oscar winning.

i didnt know his dad was his dad. love his dad as an actor but always liked Liu yitong as well. i think he's a really great actor in his own right and would love to see him in more lead roles.
also very refreshing, the lack of plastic on his face
yeah this wasn't good. which is tough because it could have been good. personally I think it was all a writing issue. 1. the FL/ML basically didn't have any character development. like at best the ML kind of "grew up" a bit and learned what it's like not to have money. but he was a good kid from the start, nothing rly changed.2. they glossed over anything related to them following in love. like hardly a "realization moment" in there, they were just suddenly in love 3. the dad never actually learned that he was scumbag for screwing people over i feel like. all he learned was that his son is actually perfectly capable and a good kid4. underdeveloped subplots left and right. like tf was bad xiaohans character even there for? 5. ending was glossed over at best and kind of silly tbh 6. completely anti climatic big bad revelation I really wanted to like this because I love Johnny and I actually think all the actors were great within their roles. Just the plot development was complete trash. Definitely don't recommend this waste of time
dear friends who dont want to start this because theyre scared of sad ending, no romance, etc etc. seriously watch this, its too good to pass up. trust me when i say it's about the journey of each case just as much as it is about the ongoing subplot. trust me when i say, not only are the main characters stand out, but also the support actors take you into their world, their emotion. not every crime show can carry like this. its about so much more than just a who done it.
this is a masterpiece. seriously. like i actually think i like it better than under the skin (which btw i've watched at least 10 times over). i dont know how else to explain how captivating this drama is without giving spoilers. just watch it.
dont understand why shes always only getting small roles, shes so good. every time i see her guest appear in a drama for a few eps, she leaves an impression
im disappointed for the actors because this is so good, and could have been one of the best dramas of all time.
and then it pulled a game of thrones and jumped off a cliff at the very end. big sighs
side note - watched for LYN but special acknowledgement to He Lan Dou. the princess' character development arc was definitely well written to begin with but she also did such a great job. crazy good
his range in great, his acting is getting better with every drama, he's adorable, and one of few actors not afraid to drop the make up and get down and dirty for the role.
now i just want to see him put on a few pounds of muscle because there's literally nothing else you could complain about
guys, so im really excited that this is got picked back up.
but also, does anyone know what's happened in china for this to happen? is there now hope for all the other BL adapted dramas that got shelfed? (i'm thinking winner is king and immortality)

Time Raiders, conjuring curse, misty creed?
Ps. Soundtrack choices were great too

i feel less guilty about being excited for baijingting now
but i STILL think Victor Ma earned his right to reprise the role and so im still sad for him
now i just want to see him put on a few pounds of muscle because there's literally nothing else you could complain about
wish him continued success
