i am all for second leads and thunder stealing side characters but i hate when the characters are forced on the viewers like this. evrything about jihoo especially after the episode where jandi leaves his house and moves on from him.. is sooooo forced and unnecessary. junpyo is called red flag, toxic and what not but he character was not given justice. Its even more worse if "that's the way junpyo's character is". because they shouldn't have made him the male lead and jandi's endgame in the first place.
The show is all about the second lead who falls for FL and the actual ML makes appearance somewhere in between SML - FL story.
The writers really did a good job putting focus on the fact that Haru was an "extra" bcoz the way they didnt give literally no personality other than trying to exist for dan oh and change her fate. Even in the previous story he was just an extra... just existing and yearing for dan oh. And Baek Kyung got more background story, emotional journey character development and even screentime cuz he WAS one of the important characters in the story. ps: this comment is sarcastic and not really sarcastic.

all this, and totally not in a cute way. he was given more screentime, better story, better scenes, better romance, better background story, better everything. (except the hairstyle. it was ugly asf). but the question is.. WHY?
Why was the main male character totally sidelined in his OWN show?
Yes. I am questioning the writers and makers of this show.
Jandi-Junpyo barely had romantic scenes, bonding through understanding scenes and every other thing... all of it was given to the second lead. There was no proper introduction to junpyo's childhood and background story like it was for ji hoo.
The FL spends 80% of her time in the show with second lead and people wonder why alot of people can't connect with junpyo-jandi's chemistry.
I still am traumatized with those scenes where The FL again n again breaks ML's heart, betrays him, and treat him as if he isn't important and he is just playing around with her. ML literally spends his time with her family, tries to make her feel special, is thoughtful about her feelings and family issues, gives her the space she needs and even though he was an asshole first but later it was jandi herself who accepted his approach and didn't deny him... then goes to sml.. then again realizes and still doesnt acknowledges ML's feelings and his efforts , he literally puts his efforts to make her happy and to be with her and she says "i guess he is TRYING"

Maybe the jihoo actor was more famous back then? idk what it is about him that made writers/makers do that but all i can say is the whole jihoo plot, his story, bond with jandi and his unnecessarily too much screentine was a nuisance. Totally annoying. i literally had to skip some scenes and watch it after i ended the drama, and still his scenes hold no value. and still kinda confused why junpyo was done dirty like that.
ps: I literally can't hate Gu Jun Pyo after watching this show. No matter how many people say he was toxic and a red flag.. it is jun pyo you will feel bad for cuz it was not ONLY junpyo who was toxic. Jandi, ji hoo were major red flags too.
Lee Min ho is the only k-actor i have seen whose acting and performance gets discussed more than just his looks and charm. Even if others are great or bad, they are not discussed or criticized as much as this man is. They all wanna bring him down, point his flaws and say he isn't "all that" but HE IS ALL THAT... totally worth the hype!!!

i hate fast paced episodes and love slow paced scenes but this show is tooooo slow even for me... i have to watch it on 2× speed and STILL its slowwwww asf.. like, this is the test of my patience lol
All this "criticism" about the drama but idk what people expected from a cliche low budget cheesy romcom drama. You knew what you were getting into when you started watching it lol.
The only problem with this show is the title and the summary written lol. maybe the poster too.
The title, summary and poster hints something different but the whole story plot, characters etc is different. If you watch this show without knowing the description of plot or expecting any r rated scenes and maybe the bias towards your favourite actor's characters... y'all will love this drama.
i am very confused about one thing.. does jae eon actually go and sleep with other women.. for example the woman he met at the same place he met nabi.. he flirted with her with the same butterfly dialogue. and the other one scene on nabi's birthday when she called jae eon and seol ah put on some lipstick while he was talking on the phone.
why don't they show us clearly when jae eon is with other women. 😭

i know rating system is a key feature for MDL, but as per my personal experience (also few friend's) i can say you will enjoy more if you just pick dramas without thinking about low or high ratings. trust me. you might be missing a lot of underrated dramas that you may enjoy but has low ratings.
