He enlisted for his mandatory military service on November 28, 2011 and was discharged on November 27, 2013. He first appeared as an actor in the independent film "Peace In Them" that was sent to the 14th Seoul International Youth Film Festival in 2012, while he was serving in the military.
He then made his official debut in 2015 with a role in the movie "Coin Locker Girl". Since then, he has featured in several movies and dramas and has worked as a commercial model for different brands. He is managed by MSTeam Entertainment (엠에스팀엔터테인먼트).
