So setting her free so that she can be guilt-free is the proper thing to do, as he believes she has family up in the mountain; he thought she was lonely in the house, and that's why she was struggling.

ML is so funny lol. He is sneaky, sly, and funny. I love how she gets mad every time he opens his mouth with his comebacks, and somehow she goes with it at the end.

I don't think so; Yeli is fiercely loyal. And he is the one she slightly has a crush on; we can see that she doesn't manipulate him for her revenge, like making him do things for her. She is very protective of him too. Manipulative FL, I would say the FL from the Glory C drama with Chen Duling there used the ML for revenge.

I think she was wandering in the forest alone , you can see why she is afraid of monkeys and she is telling herself that she is not alone to cope with lonliness.
