I thought only the ones who survived were Jin Xian and Jin Yan.
White King said that his father left him instructions that if Jin Xuan came to him with the Dragon scroll, he's to kill him. And we see that it was a trap to get him as Jin Xian and the others show up to take care of him. His death was not on screen, but it was implied.
Questions, so so so many questions. I'm sure things can be explained if someone tried hard enough and filled in the gaps of like 20 years, but until then, better to watch this as a standalone.
But my most pressing one from the very first minute. Wasn't Jin Xuan dead??? He's telling a story that happened after this death?
Most of it is on Youtube. There's 4 seasons in all: Great Journey of Teenagers. Though the first two seasons might still be listed under Youths and Golden Coffin. Warning though that subs are mediocre at times, like bad AI translations sometimes, but if you've watched the series, you'll survive.
I like the animation more and you'll see how they start differing starting season 2, though both drama and animation deviate in different ways from the novels.
I just finished watching the final season's animation, and it seems like they gave some tidbits about the next story in the anime. Of course, take it with a grain of salt too because they do tend to change a *lot* of things during the animation to be more dramatic and inclusive... but the gist may still be the same.
But when Xiao Se was going for Tianzen sword, one thing they added is that if this sword awakens, other divine weapons will awaken and could potentially throw the world into chaos. Thee were a noted of 5 in total, the sword being one of them. And then after the series finished, they offered like a 5 second eye catch for animation next series (as was linked in the link below), and it seems to suggest that indeed the divine weapons will be playing a part of it.
How much of the series will be about that isn't known, and we don't know if that's animation only, but that's another thing to look forward to!
I like her character, i may not like how forced it seems her relationship with XCH seems right now, but perhaps…
Thanks for getting back to me! Oh! I should follow the author's weibo. I finally managed to get myself an account (omg, it's so hard!) and hope to get updates. I have only the official SNGX one followed.
Thanks! And I didn't think SQL was that bad in S1.
Is this some sort of spin-off sequel to dashing youth? What's the timeline for this and Dashing Youth and Blood…
Well. There definitely is. It's different point of views from various timelinesof the same historical events that was mentioned in Blood. This is the middle section of the history, bridging what happened between Dashing and Blood even though it's not a direct sequel/prequel. It's more like... Expanding on events that are mentioned and fills in gaps. Like... "Oh, that's how they met!" or "Ah. That's what happened behind the scenes!"

I correct myself slightly. I had answered the previous post with the book only 2/3rd finished. Okay it seems the last third of the series does touch more into Dashing youth events. Not necessary to have watched, but it would help solidify the world building and background events that was set up in that story. But main characters of Dashing Youth don't feature much in this series still.

I guess he didn't get killed after all?

But hey it's part of the universe, and it's short. Watch it if you're a fan so you can go Wtf at it. But then you can say at least you've watched it.
