No way I only realized today Apple was the director! Woah, now I'm even more sad that it got cancelled/ on hold, I really liked the concept of the series
I was particularly mentioning Like a Palette or āđāļāļāļāļ°āđāļāđāļāļāļēāļ§āļŠāļīāļāļāļģ, since the series is about an artist however they used AI. Now Be my Angel using it and AI subs which some are doing. The others are only rumoured so better not jump to conclusions.
I love how there are a *lot* of thai series playing with their names:even Aokbab (= design)-love design, Rak (=love)-US,…
omg yes, I checked the Affair cast that's why I confused the name don't worry about it lol. About the Anil/Anin that's what I was trying to say, most interfans use the names they see on the subtitles, while others use the ones translated from thai fans, then both names end up being used.

Yes in Affair her nickname is "wan" but actually her name is āļāļąāļāļāļēāļāļąāļāļĢ āļ§āļąāļāļāļāļĻāđāļŠāļāļēāļāļĢ so "āļ§āļąāļ" is Wang = palace, but yes Wan could be weither sweet (āļŦāļ§āļēāļ) or day (āļ§āļąāļ), in this case neither, but day is closer.
I don't know much BL series but I loved that little word play with "Rak Diao".
Agree! The language barrier can be a huge issue, lots of puns and jokes are difficult to understand (and most of the times go unnoticed) and interfans rely on the explanations from Thai fans. But thai language is really fun to learn, when I watch a series and understand their jokes it feels so rewarding :))
Despite the different interpretations when translating from thai to english/etc, the names also end up having different romanized ways to be written, then different people use different names for the same character hahaha (like in the loyal pin Anin/ Anil- because thai people often avoid the "r or l" )
PS 'Din' āļāļīāļ, her name, means 'earth'. You're welcome, now the series' title makes sense. In The Fire, 'Fai'…
I love how there are a *lot* of thai series playing with their names: even Aokbab (= design)-love design, Rak (=love)-US, Khun Neung (1), Song (2), Sam (3)-GAP and Blank, Mewnam (=seal)-WhaleStore, Pleng (=song)-Affair And many othersððĨđ
