no need to confuse yourself. ML love FL and FL also love ML only. they will end up together. Happy Ending.
"I don't want to get attached to it and get nothing."
Real life will teach you, this happens all the time. This is but a drama. In RL even if your lover ever leaves you in real life, you do not get "nothing" --you learn many lessons out of that relationship.
It takes n+(insert your Zodiac number here, for example I am year of the Dragon = 5) raised to the power of the element you are born in. I am a Gold dragon = 4th element. Multiply this with all the birth dates of characters, actors, even the drama's director.
You are then promised to get baffled at the process of figuring out the point. Ergo, the longest promise (for a coherent answer).
Yes! I am up to date and seen today's new episodes, too. Thank you for asking.:)
Chong Ming is old like me but not as wise, I'm afraid, ha ha. Still, we are both very good looking lol, he is also a lot of fun and his antics amuse me. That spell to turn SY into a fur ball tho... Cat (?) and bird reminds me a bit of Tweety and Silvester pairing. Yes, I am laughing now but for how long?
I made the same mistake once but I learned from it fast.
Did not repeat.
Modern day ink I use on my pens is water-based so it's fairly harmless, especially diluted ink. Not sure about ancient ink, but Chong Ming is an immortal. Mercury poisoning from the cinnabar inkstick is innocuous to him, LOL.
TLDR: I just want to say that I love CM so much. :)
Don't like, don't watch. Simple rule in life that has served me well.
We all have expectations but unless you are a producer of this drama, there's nothing you can do right now to change anything about this work. Don't like the cast? Tough. Suck it or tuck it. Rant all you want here, too but lookists who call her ugly, unattractive, unappealing are sounding very superficial and immature to me. She can definitely act and she's convinced me that she's right for the role. You will all grow old soon, trust me. By then, substance will matter more, not that many people learn that this is a superficial society. Drama is one form of escape from reality, perhaps it is your life's ugliness that you truly want escape from? But, to each their own.
I am here to stay to see how this genre works, mainly for the action scenes and the over-all grandeur of the set-design, costume, special FX etc. My usual fare is 70s-80s Wu Tang films, diving into my first Xianxia now to widen my area of interest. So far so good after 5 episodes. Did not think I'd enjoy this as much.
I eagerly wait for more fight scenes and wire acts, etc.

There's a learning opportunity everywhere.
Pleased that the latest episodes did not disappoint.
ZY also fights very well.
The modern reference for cornucopia is thanksgiving for bountiful harvest.
I agree with you, when you said feast. I just used a hyperbole to express my gratitude and appreciation of TLP's cinematography and overall aesthetic.
Anyway, English is also my 2nd language. I just know this word from books I have read.
n + 1 to the nth power, etc etc.
I'd break this down in detail but it's not my jam.
TLP is a gift that keeps on giving.
Here initially for the action scenes but I stay for everything else. I did not expect to enjoy it this much.

"Bone eroding ivy. Not bad."
SY catching the spirit magpie bird in his hand shows excellent special FX. Kudos to the CGI team.
I paid for a WeTV VIP to keep up to date with the episode drop. It is worth it!
I will stay tuned for more dazzling action scenes.

Shi Ying the Master marking student's work with red ink.
Ah some things never change.
These bits of humorous scenes stand out for me.
I wait for more episodes with great anticipation.

This got me overinvested, afraid all that looking back might turn me into a pillar of salt now.
