Both are hits! Goodness! Just because the other drama placed 2nd doesn't mean it's not a hit anymore. Top 1 and Top 2 are just even very close in numbers, the gaps are very small. The reason why they are neck to neck with each other. Both dramas have already broken the highest heat popularity index, even more impressive that TSOPG broke it after 2 days of broadcast. Both dramas also have exceeded to 500 million views. Zhao Lusi still has the highest Vlinkage data at 9.32 of the year and Esther Yu has achieved to be the 2nd actress in the industry to have exceeded 10,000 on the three major platforms. These dramas have remarkable achievements!!!

So I keep seeing comments like how people are confused how can Duanwu misunderstood Yan Zijing. I think it's just simple and it all just make sense. First of all, the bandits sneaked into Yan Zijing's group of guards and dressed like they're part of the convoy. On the other hand, when Duanwu woke up, she remembered that Yan Zijing gave her a drink that will make her fall asleep the reason she was confused why he did that. While the chaos was happening, Little Shrimp, Accountant Wei, Cao Da, and Loud actually witness the convoy guards kind of fighting with each other together with the other bandits. Accountant Wei even pointed out that a member of the convoy were attacking them before she died. 😭 Also, when Duanwu went outside, she saw Little Shrimp shouting that the convoy guards were trying to kill them. Lastly, Yan Zijing's arrow which was supposed to block the masked man's arrow on Duanwu accidentally hit her! Unfortunately, Duanwu saw Yan Zijing was pointing the bow at her in close proximity. Hence, the misunderstanding was created. 💔 Truthfully, I was kind of expecting that they won't survive, but still sad to see all those characters that I come to love all die. 😭💔

Finally caught up till the latest episodes after a very busy schedule 😂 Honestly, I was scared to watch this series because many viewers were eagerly waiting for this drama to be released, so the expectations were very high. Thankfully, it did not disappoint!!! I was so relieved. This is a premise like no other. A story of a slave who's about to conquer the business world and a ruthless merchant portrayed by Zhao Lusi and our OST King, Liu Yuning. I must say that Zhao Lusi's previous projects really molded her into an actress with so much potential, but I'm afraid she's devouring this role so much she's leaving no crumbs here! 🔥😨 What an astounding performance! 👏 Hate her or love her, You cannot deny the talent. She has given so much justice to the character Duanwu which is a very challenging role. And of course, Our OST king is doing an excellent job delivering subtlety which is impossible for some actors to do. Even in subtlety, you can feel his superiority and ruthlessness. In the 1st two episodes we were able to witness Duanwu's life as a pearl diver. I've read comments where some viewers dropped this series because of the unsettling themes of the premise and I agree it was so well-executed. You can really feel Duanwu's suffering through the screen. However, as a GOT fan, this is nothing. I've seen worse. 😀 It was a necessary concept to deeply understand Duanwu as a character. Looking forward to the next episodes and I'm so excited to see how this story will unfold. I mean give me all the angst!!!

I think his goal is for Sang Yan and Sang Zhi to change seats. That's why he called Sang Yan "Darling Gege" because he knows that Sang Yan will get disgusted which will made him to switch seats with Sang Zhi. 😅 Duan Jiaxu is a flirt, so... quite shameless and I'm not complaining. 🤣

This is the most relatable and close to reality drama. Like the last scene of ep 15 with Sang Zhi trying to tell her roommates what happened on her date and they ended up giggling so much felt so nostalgic. 😂 I suddenly miss my dormmates. 😢😭💗

Like what? do we really have to sexualize their relationship when it's clear in the first place that it's just a one-sided innocent puppy love from the FL's point of view. The ML was even clueless.
