IMHO, the shred of soul was wandering not knowing where to go, right after ZYC stabbed ZYZ so he had to find it in the great wilderness. That formless soul then found its way to the contract, where ZYZ's blood remained and started to form into a tiny swirling energy then flew to ZYC to let him know that ZYZ was back, as he once promised WX.
Is it happy ending? Does the leads end up together? I dont mind spoilers, pleaseee...

ML was the kindest of all demons. But since he was a great demon who was down in history as one who did the massacre to DHB many years ago (including XYC's father and brother), he acted the way people 'knew' him for. He needed to behave the way he was for the earlier episodes. The more the people feared him, the more they would listen to what he planned to do. And it was useless for him to be the good demon he was, since no humans would believe him. Only after they knew and spent time with ZYZ, they realised that he had the biggest heart. There was no change about his character from the start.

Wufeng clan is the antagonist but the leader was not yet shown and its 2 powerful masters just appeared and got their hands on the FL when the story ended, with ML waiting for his bride as the last scene. No news whatsoever about its continuity.
