Is TVOA's heat index bad?
I do not know about 'being suppresed by Youku' thing. Let us just see how the drama has been progressing for the last 7 days, compared to 2 other dramas, aired at the same period (data by Kuyun)

TVOA; Day 1: 7509, day 2: 9024, day 3: 9403, day 4: 9593, day 5: 9600, day 6: 9605 & day 7: 9652

Drama A: 6489 -> 8408 -> 8462 -> 8405 -> 8307 -> 8345 -> 8315

TVOA has topped Kuyun Overall Popularity for the last 2 days and heat index has been increasing, better than the 2 competitors.

High heat index is awesome and I enjoy posting it but it is only one of the parameters used by the production to know how popular can a drama be.
The airing rights, marketshare and the participating brands are important when it comes to profit and loss.

The Vendetta of An got 40+ brands for pre-broadcast, supposed to cover 60% of the production cost (record for Youku), and at least 10 brands per episode.
It has surpassed 1500 seconds of advertising time and featured 30 brands in just 6 days since its premiere! Several brands, including Huawei, have returned to increase their advertising spending!

In just seconds, Xie Huaian face turned from calm to eerie smile to cold anger to crazy laugh then back to calm again.
He was both terrifying and fascinating to watch.

His gesture and words were polite and respectful while everything about it was a threat.

Xie Huaian would go to the extreme when it related to his sibling. He was only 17 and was already ruthless and unforgiving back then.
He was incredibly smart and had decided of what to do with his life, his sibling, and his enemies at the age of 10. He was meticulous and decisive. But even the most perfect plan can fail from unexpected factors.
His enemies were ruthless as his sister was naive. She was smart enough to understand the danger the Liu clan had suffered but failed to stop to think for a moment that there could be a reason as to why Xie Huaian made all his choices.
What happened to her was very sad, after surviving for so long.

14 of 28 episodes were delivered. 3 main villains were down, the ML was in full killing mode in a more chaotic empire than in episode 1 and the plot is thickening and more engaging.
There is no dragging or slowing plotline in this revenge drama.
The Vendetta of An is so exhilarating it feels like riding a never stopping roller coaster.

I was thinking 24 or 25 too but then he was said to go to Huainan at 17 and worked under Zhou Mo for 7 years before going back to Chang'an.
It cannot be a year travelling and living 🤔

He was the only one with number 24 and born in Chang'an.

This drama is so detailed 💕

For me the arc was inevitable. Xiao Wuyang did not have strong supports at the court and Chancellor Gao sort of implied the doom by saying that maintaining was difficult.
It is better now.
The protagonists are all in the dark while only 1 villain is still mysterious.

The plan was to make those 4 commanders surrender their tokens. They could not bring their army to Chang'an but some guards. Huaian, Guyu and Wuyang just did not know how deep the Huben had infiltrated but it made sense, since they had no intel about the size of the Huben power under Yan Fengshan.

Xie Huaian was on the different wall and only viewed what happened to the scholar in his mind, because if he was literally seen by WP, he would go straight after him and postponed whatever he wanted to do with HZL.

This drama is superb and very detailed.

He was probably hiding after his soldiers did everything to ensure his safety. He was not afraid of death but Xie Huaian reminded him of his important role in the empire.
He must live. Even Chancellor Gao continued living with those legs.

I was worried so much while watching and went straight to episode 14 on Youku. Saw all was good then restarted watching ep 13, on Netflix and screamed still.
This drama is so addicting for me, more than strawberry pistachio cheese cake.
