You might be in the same boat as I. Whenever I watch dramas these days at least a quarter of the time I'm trying to hold myself back from throttling the screen. I fear I've lived too long and watched too many dramas, to the point that I've become excessively sensitive to particularly obvious stupidity for the sake of plot.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying this drama. However, that cave scene ...

No matter how much the thought of Wang Rui Chang discovering me bathing in the moonlight might be titillating, how much sense does it make that the MC would make this mistake after all the efforts she made to conceal her gender within her own batallion.

He's still a general of their enemy, ffs!!! ARGH!!!!!!

I felt it was more the change in dynamics between characters. I suppose thats to be expected to some point when the actors are changed but I just wasn't buying it. For example: the dynamic between ml and their emporer/nobility. In s1 ml was respectful in a somewhat quiet/subdued way around the emporer, and the other nobles he pretty much treated with contempt. First scene between ml and emporer in s2 and they're best of chums. Felt completely off. Jun Mo went from being a master of a character in s1, to seeming somewhat weak and off balance in s2 (and that was with the same actor both seasons). There were a lot of little off note character moment differences for me between the two seasons. All in all, just IMHO, s2 didn't feel like it had that same level of attention paid to it.

Watched the first 10 minutes and was left wondering whether this was some sort of student production.

Acting is crap. They're like placeholders for the real actors who were stuck in traffic and couldn't make it to the set. Perhaps it's the producer instead of the actors, I dunno. Watching it just feels like I'm watching a 'paint by numbers'.

Couldn't stand to go longer than that first 10 minutes. I think I've been spoiled by the 2018 Leo Wu version.

But then again, it was only 10 minutes. I'll check back in a week or so to see if it improves based on what other viewers say.

Ever Night season 1, Louyang, sleuth of ming dynasty, maiden holmes, legend of fu yao, strange tales of tang dynasty, the lady in butcher's house, sword dynasty, word of honor, the untamed.

I have vpn and tried shifting address locations. Didn't change.

If I wasn't logged in, I was able to see the additional episodes with a lock depicted over it, telling me how much to buy, and that I needed to log in.

But then, as soon as I logged in those additional episodes were no longer visible.

Me neither Radagon and I'm also in Australia. However I'm using a PC, and also an app on my PC called BlueStacks that's supposed to mimic a mobile.

Someone suggested that the fast tracks can only be accessed on an actual mobile device like a phone or tablet.

What are you using?

Guess I'll rewatch Luoyang to at least get some value out of the subscription XD

Yep. I can see the fast track episodes when I'm not logged in, but as soon as I log in they no longer display. Disappear like they weren't even there in the first place ><

I use my PC, but I also use an app on my PC that mimics a mobile phone called Bluestacks. Didn't work on either. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

Ancient Detective I started and it seemed good, but I just never got around to continuing it;

The Untamed.

Joy of Life, season 1 of Ever Night, The Moon Brightens for You, Legend of Fei, and The Rise of Phoenixes, just because I enjoyed them but they're not that similar.

I feel like he's using his actual voice in this production, so I'm assuming a voice-over actor was used in the previous production.

Well that was a bust.

Paid for a standard subscription. No access. Used the vpn to change location to different countries. Still no access. Upgraded to the premium subscription. Repeat change location process. Still no access.

What's frustrating is that I can see the episodes are there when I'm not logged in (free for premium, additional cost for standard), yet whenever I log into my iqiyi account the option to access the additional episodes disappears.

I'm in Australia, don't know if it's a region lock thing, perhaps based on payment address rather than ip address.

Can anyone tell me:
1) Are all the remaining episodes, including the extras, fully translated?
2) What was the cost in whatever currency for gaining access to the remaining episodes?

The distinction is inconsequential.

For me, when reading Untamed the sexual relationship always felt like an insert to satisfy a certain portion of the audience. The story still worked fantastically without it.

Two characters can have deep affection for each other without it needing to be sexual, and that deep affection can be the basis for a great story. Audience members who want to fantasize any particular way can, and will, do so with or without it being depicted.

I feel the same way about Heaven Officials Blessing. With or without the sexual aspect, it's a great story.

I just want to see it on screen. Bedamned the twisted panties of the censors.

If it is at the point where the censors are not basing their decisions on just the actual production but also the source material, then c-dramas are in for a lacklustre future.

I dunno why everyone and the censors are going mad over the BL aspect. Untamed wasn't good because it was based on a BL story. It was good because it was good story.

As this one could be if they just got around to releasing it.

Argh! This wait is sooo frustrating.
