While others might find it too slow, I find it poetic. So, I'm enjoying this drama. And I never skip the ending,…
I have been wanting to say this for so long now. Every drama is always guided by a theme which becomes the central point for unfolding the story. For some it is an objective theme which can clearly be seen and heard throughout the drama. This makes the interpretation a more generalized one usually. Other stories are written with a subjective theme to give the viewer a complete control over the interpretation according to their opinions and experiences. Both are great. That's what art is after all. As for Fangs of Fortune it is something very different from a thousand dramas I have watched till now. What others see as faults with the drama are the very things that make it a unique approach to storytelling. It is a story which seems to be written on a defined theme of conflict between humans and demons fighting to decide who is good and who is evil. But the debate throughout the narrative is itself a subjective interpretation of the viewer. Some dramas carry a poetic feel to them but "THIS DRAMA IS A POEM' in itself through and through. A poem aged for a thousand years under the cold moonlight. A poem that saddened me the moment I read the first line. But I knew I had to read it to the end to understand the poet's sorrow. And I have to rely on my own interpretation to relate to it through my pain and experiences. Some will understand and some will never know the fragrance of this aged wine leaving them with a feel of blandness.
