To be fair, it was focused on the straight couple more for majority of the show up until Episode 5 while the gay couple has less to no interactions or moments together. So, maybe that person quit watching it after episode 4 and made that comment.
This is an ongoing show. You shouldn't take every comment like it is the final thought of the series itself by someone.

I agree with everyone saying that the pacing for the main gay couple is unfortunate. This kinda pacing only works on western shows cause there are 3-4 seasons to develop the story. This doesn't work on kdramas as they don't do seasons. So, this will end up being a rushed story and that is why a lot of people have problems with kdrama endings. A lot of Kdramas start off good but they slowly start degrading towards the end.
And, this is not only applicable to the main gay couple. The straight couple also lacks any substance. Their relationship has no depth whatsoever while having continuous useless filler scenes.
This show in particular doesn't know what it wants to be. It is not cohesive at all and has no structure.

tbf the 7.8 is a decent rating for this drama
the series is not bad but its also not anything outstanding
if you remove the gay part of this drama, this become a story that has been done 1000 times
on top they made this a bit too draggy and slow for the year 2025

I dont think so. The people behind them in the photo are the same that are in today's episode. Unless, they all sit with the same people going back which is unlikely since this is not a school trip.

And, I think maybe thats why GagaOOLala and iQiyi didn't buy the streaming rights for this. Watcha(Korea) also didn't buy it. They saw the mess beforehand maybe. This seems to be only on Viki and Heavenly. Now, is that for a reason I am alluding to? Hopefully not cause this series could be so good if done properly.

I still think this series is too short to be developing two couples. Even 1 hour 16 episodes kdramas struggle to keep up and end up needing a spin-off. And to top it off they added the second couple out of the blue so people are going to be even more highly critical and annoyed by it especially manhwa readers for ruining a story and characters they adore and cherish. If you are gonna do it, do it properly which in this case was not. This was just sloppy work.

Damn, the ratings dropped everywhere. Even in China, it went from 8.2 to 7.8 after episode 3 and 4.

You know what? That's fair. You can do changes to an adaption and if done correctly people will like it but if incorrectly expect people to be disappointed. Hope they can roll back up again cause I too felt episode 3 and 4 were super draggy and the story wasn't moving anywhere.

Not hating the series but few of the comments here on realism bothered me that people upvoted. Do you think Goblin is realistic? Strong Woman Do Bong Soon is realistic? The two most loved series here is realistic? Any Zombie series are realistic? Any supernatural power series are realistic? Why can anything else be fictional but sexual orientation needs to be "realistic"?? lol

So far,
the acting is downright horrible specially the lead character(hoping its the character's fault and not the actress)
plot is whatever cause when you create a universe you need to establish some things and lore first
drug investigation is boring. should have chosen a different crime for the plot
costumes are horrible

only good thing about this drama so far is they didn't drag the finding of the daughter arc
very disappointed so far and its honestly unfortunate
they could have made this way more better than some cheap low quality overly dramatised comedy
the show has no soul

I believe that a person's reality is who they are around and acts with everyone else. If a person(ex JS) is only nice to the one they like and rude to others. I find that person not date-worthy in my book but you are entitled to your opinion.

I actually find Junseong annoying lol. Like, the way he said he doesn't like other people touching his man. Cringy. Like what man lmfao? He is not your man. That man keeps rejecting you. He is already this possessive. I can only imagine how much of a red flag he is gonna be later. He is nice to Sungho but thats it.
