Came back to see people still trying to squeeze out reasons for FL's choices. Guys, this is xianxia. ML is consistent while FL makes all sorts of weird or uncharacteristic decisions for the sake of plot. Hopefully by ep 26 they'll have gotten their betrayal, grievances and forgiveness off their chest so we can have 10 episodes of high stakes action and fun.
man everyone in the comments is scaring me, i watched ep 13 but not the rest, is MY really acting dumb 😭🙏🏿
She wants something and getting it the wrong way is proving near impossible. There's a good chance she can get it the right way, but she insists on getting it the wrong way. Meanwhile some people here argue that she doesn't see that good chance or doesn't want to take it.
What hypocrite? He wasn't deceiving her about love. He was honest with his feelings. In his schemes, they both…
Yes I also was expecting more for the lightning part. I blame the writing. Maybe they wanted to show how surprised she was to see how far he's willing to go, but when we have such a strong FL, we don't need the cliche FL on her knees part. That doesn't belong to this drama's FL.
Other members and I submitted better posters but all were rejected. MDL insists on using this ugly one just because…
Maybe it's just my imagination, but I keep seeing recent posters for Chinese dramas that look amateur. Many of them look fanmade. While those same dramas do have other great posters. Yet MDL updates their pages with the low quality posters.

That's no excuse. He was even less loved and privileged as her.
He never initiated her. She always volunteered for danger to make his heart flutter, thinking he wouldn't let her, but to her surprise, he let her. Maybe trying to test her, maybe he didn't trust her ability to save them if things go wrong.
He intended to leave her? Is that your headcanon? Because he clearly was adamant on taking her with him. He intended to leave Zhang Tai in the illusion, not Ming Yi.
She's poisoned, but how is it his fault? She could simply say she was poisoned and that's why he won. He's clearly the type who'd feel responsible. But no. She's got to continue manipulating his feelings.
She helped him mostly to win his heart. She clearly said even her putting herself in danger was part of her love trap. So she didn't put anything on the back. She was playing the long game.
She's not heartless. She has a caring side to her. I agree that she might have feelings without realizing. But while hyper focusing on getting the antidote, she wronged him.
Love ML, but, WHAT A HYPOCRITE!, He's mad because he discovered FL lies better than him? He was deceiving her…
What hypocrite? He wasn't deceiving her about love. He was honest with his feelings. In his schemes, they both benefited. In her scheme, only she is supposed to benefit and he is set up to lose everything.
She was already as strong as him (if not stronger according to what JBZ said). And why does she need to "whoop…
I was sarcastic? When?
Nobody knows what will happen. Because this is a very lose adaptation. But if you hate one of the leads, or are hoping for a significant difference in strength between them, you'll probably have a hard time watching this.
For the love of all things, please at least mention if you're spoiling the book's biggest plot twist. This is why I stay away from the comments in cdrama.

The drama clearly stated why she lost.
