This season was great apart from few things...Like for example the second couple ending up together to me is such…
I don't think you get SH at all. He already said last time he didn't like anyone else except JS, Idk why people are so fixed on those calls because the contestants themselves understand that leaving a message isn't the equivalent to liking the person. The message that he left SW was to tell him that he showed him more kindness then he received from his loved ones and family. It's clearly out of gratefulness more then anything and it was touching. And JS not receiving any message was a small pain he had to endure before being extremely happy that HE was chosen at the important moment. I'm really sick of people saying SH doesn't deserve JS, this is so tone deaf. Seeing how excited JS was to get out of here vs how SH didn't want to leave shows that SH was in here for more then finding love but for all of the friendships coming out of this show., including SW.
SH and JS are both aware that SW had a crush on JS, but when the relationship between SH and JS was already sealed, SW still left his last message to SH. Everyone acting like he only cares for JS and was playing with SH all along is just calling SH stupid and SW a villain. He has an ideal style that resemble JS but considered going for someone that is like him and found comfort in SH. People are so easily simplifying people's type and their feelings, they're not characters.
At the end of the day SH and JS deserve each others and they seem happy to this day. JS isn't a fool and SH isn't a villain.

... you may be right... we see according to our eyes, our feelings each. But do we really know what SW really…
Like I said it's very much possible that he still had a crush on JS but people were saying that he only went to SH as a revenge or something like that ("if I can't have JS nobody can" kind of way). I just said that I feel like he had a genuine interest in SH and him having a crush on JS doesn't make everything that happened with SH fake. Also people saying this everywhere makes SH, who actually had to make the choice between the two, looks like a fool if we're being honest.

There's an opinion that I see often and until now that I just don't get, people keep saying that SW was never interested in SH and always in JS, even with this week's episodes. I agree that SW had/still has a crush on JS, I can see it. But I don't see how it prevents him from having feelings for SH too. Especially because they had a lot of deep conversations with SH and JS about his relationship with SH,. And for a bunch of people that changed their mind and said that SH is not a villain, to say that he's never been interested in SH is basically calling him manipulative/ a liar which is weird. I feel like SW has sincere regrets about losing SH but since his feelings weren't strong enough, he couldn't confidently step up his game, and I feel like he's the type that won't have strong feelings for someone in one week. And the way they talk was almost like SH and SW dated for a long time and broke up and JS and SH have been dating for a while too, those three are dramatic in that way. Anyway, I just think SH and SW did have chemistry even if JS/SH chemistry is ten times better. I just don't know why everyone was acting like they were so bad for each other, I feel like if JS wasn't here, everyone would be rooting for them. Proof being : everybody has been rooting for YH/SW despite their only chemistry being of an uncle/nephew relationship, everyone is just pushing it because they like YH and he's in love, but SW is clearly not. The same energy wasn't applied to SH...just saying

I'm here again because I like reading comments because I really like this show but somehow 80% of the comments on any platform don't really sit right with me.
Am I the only one finding this comment (that comes out so so many times) weird : "It's like BL drama"? A comment about real gay guys on a dating show. I find it weird because what came first, the chicken or the egg, gay people or fictional stories about boys falling in love, except this one is obvious. They're not like a BL drama, BL dramas are trying to be like them (and failing most of the time because representation sucks). Anyway, and many gay men hate fujoshis, which you are not by just enjoying BLs, but you start to look like it by commenting again and again about BLs for gay reality shows.
I also find it sad that heterosexual dating show will at max get compared to a romantic movie plot and I've never seen it done here one time because I guess just saying "movie" and not "BL" would kill many of you.
And many people are going to say that I'm just being picky or mad for no reason, but understand that they're really doing a great job at putting queer people in media in a country as homophobic as SK. Yet the fans of the show can't even evolve themselves into understanding what being queer is or represent. Most of you sounds like you haven't met one real queer person and it's baffling.

Title His Man Season 2 Spoiler
The petty person in me just came to say that a bunch of you were so wrong and I was so right. With how SH expressed himself since the beginning it seemed to me like honesty played a big part in his way of doing things. Contrarily to others, he doesn't want to get pursued by more then one person and was just conflicted, but as soon as he knew for sure, he ended it with the other person. He didn't even let his actions speak but said it clearly so that there would be no place for doubts. He exposed all of his feelings to both JS and SW all along, and people just went off on him based on a preview when there's nothing more fake then previews in that show. Anyway, I know it's a show and everyone can be dramatic but maybe don't go "he doesn't deserve him" and "he disappointed me" on people so easily.
For the closure, I actually really liked SW and SH's conversation, I felt like SW realized fully why things went down the way they did, he even advised MS not to do the same or he'll end up with nobody in the end. I do feel like SW would have chosen SH until the very end and I'm actually not sure he'll pursue anyone else after that. I don't think he likes anyone that much so I kind of just want him to chill until the end.

I see many people's comment like Shipping them like we do on BL actor is wrong. Well, we do ship actors which…
I don't think you understand.. yes shipping them is wrong and shipping bl actors is what makes this industry so annoying, people ship actors and celebrities in general and it's accepted because of the promotional effect but it has hurt a lot of them.
In this case it's even worse, they're real people. You're watching a dating show, of course you're rooting for them to end up together and it's different then shipping. The problem is people still following the couple after, getting extremely disappointed when they break up, say they rooted for them for nothing, Pushing two contestants that have not expressed interest for one another for "an enemy to lover bl trope", or seeing two contestants being cute and saying they should make a BL out of it. Basically they're not real gay people with a real life and a normal job. I know people use every word very lightly nowadays but shipping as a fictional connotation to it, when it's once again a reality show with real people. People are already "stanning" them, calling them "my baby", simplifying their persona to angel or villain.
It just sounds bad to me and my honest reaction is "what is wrong with them?" but whatever.

I have a feeling that Junsung is actually rich, but just doesn't show it much...like you said, he has less clothes,…
I think it's neither. Everyone can put a lot of money on an item if they're not broke or don't have any other obligation. I think his closet is pretty normal for someone who enjoys clothes. I know a bunch of people (including me) that would sometimes buy expensive clothes and don't have a lot of money.

Too many people talking about this dating show like it's a BL.
Exactly, and people don't seem to realize how weird they're being. I saw people say that they wished SW and JS would get together for the enemy to lovers trope or that SH and JS should play their story in a BL. I also don't understand why those real people with real jobs would become BL actors suddenly but I saw that many times too. This is so embarrassing and I wish BL fans would stop watching gay reality show if they can't tell the difference.

I really dislike how everyone is now kind of hating on SH. He's always been very honest and coherent between what he says during his interviews and what he says to the contestants. He has being put in this situation with JS when he already had made up his mind to chase SW. At this point JS and SH went on a really cute date, they left first, came back last and still hung out together in the house. It seems to me that JS efforts have paid, everyone wanted SH to send the vm to JS and he actually did.
I don't understand why a preview that is a replay of a situation we're all aware of (SW:"you're special " SH: "I'm conflicted") is making people hate him. Especially a preview.
One last thing, SH is not a viewer. He doesn't have the whole situation like we do. If anything, I won't feel any anger towards him if he choose SW but I'll feel bad for him, because there's no way he's going to watch the show and feel like he did the right choice. He might see SW in a whole new light while watching the show (once again the show is edited and we don't know SW but not any amount of editing could make me like his dating style)

I knew YH would not get attention after his age was revealed. I blame the show for this. The SK reality dating…
I mean, to be fair, it didn't change much from before he revealed it. After the reveal JW was shocked but still called him until now because feelings are feelings. MS called him but without any big reason (and it wasn't reciprocated) and you could tell he was getting more interested in the newcomers before the age reveal. HJ also said he's still interested in 3 (now 4 people) and it still includes YH. If anything, it's more about the fact that he keeps calling SW and that SW never reciprocated any of that, without having anything to do with his age.
The last thing is that YH, SW and JW are all sabotaging themselves with either losing confidence because they're too young or too old, nobody except those three have talked about age. I do agree that being a college student in a dating show with a few 30+ yo people with a stable job mustn't be easy, but when he's out of the show, the dating pool will be bigger for sure.

If that conversation took place after the BBQ and after the voicemails, I believe SH called SW and JS looked defeated.…
I kinda disagree with the whole convo. Not every situation has to make JS only a 2nd choice. SH prefer being chased then pinning after someone but it feels like he decided otherwise for the show and he talked about himself flirting with SW at the best of his ability. I think when you actually act on a crush, it becomes stronger without any particular reason, adding to that the date and the conversation, and the fact that SH and SW still feel comfortable with one another. He even said that when he sent the call, as if he couldn't justify sending the call to JS because they didn't even date yet. He still said that JS and SW are currently 50/50 in his heart right now (and JS reached that without a date) and he has no reason to lie about that. I think people focus too much on the call (including the cast) despite the fact that it doesn't mean that much, you could like nobody and still have to make the call and like two person the same and you can only call one. Because SH decided on SW first, he's going to need more time to change his whole direction towards JS, because you might have only looked at someone, and another person liking you made you discover that new person and his charm in a way you didn't think about at all. Anything I see about JS/SH doesn't feel like he's a 2nd choice and SH is probably genuine towards him but doesn't want to give him any false hope and will only switch who he's calling when he's sure.
That's an overanalyse because that's all I can do but you guys simplify their feelings a bit too much.

Exactly what I was thinking. I like both of them but you could bash them both on what they're doing on this emission…
I don't think anyone is wrong, everybody can approach a dating show in a different way, I just feel like anyone could bash every contestant based on nothing substantial which is why it's stupid to do that. And I wish this show only affect them in a good way for the future and that they don't regret it. This is why I'm so mad about a whole lot of comments I see on this page.

The claim that Seon-woo didn't tell Jun-sung about the mission cards because he wants to keep JS and Sung-ho apart…
Exactly, he didn't even tell YH and JW until they talked about it and even then he said nothing. Since they just kept talking about it he only gave them a hint. People really think he didn't want to tell JS because he likes him and wants to steal SH as a revenge. And making that up in their head doesn't make them feel ashamed... I could never

Exactly what I was thinking. I like both of them but you could bash them both on what they're doing on this emission so let's just not do that. People also tend to forget that this show is for a lot of them more important then just the dating part but is also a coming out experience, I think people should be a bit more understanding and not assassinate their character. If you see the comment I made about that, I literally had someone coming at me implying SW is manipulative and SH is some kind of leftovers. I hope people would just enjoy the damn show.

Correction -SW called two people, he did not get a positive response from those two people.. so other reasons…
That's not a correction that's just speculation... Exactly what I meant when I say you guys are taking it too far. I want Seongho to call Junsung too but I'm not about to write a whole movie about Seonwoo and why he's doing what he's doing. And once again... with the way you guys are talking, I genuinely feel so bad for Seongho... and Seonwoo too.
On His Man Season 2 Jul 4, 2023
I do prefer this season but it almost has nothing to do with the producers or the cast but just the fact that it seems like everyone could find someone this season. First season was just everyone on two guys which made it boring, frustrating and uncomfortable to watch at times, I still liked it a lot, but just the first round of calls was a breath of fresh air with only one person not getting a call, Except if they stage it, nothing anyone can do. And you can't really pick and choose the cast for it to go right without putting them in boxes which is wrong. I was just sad seeing a bunch of contestants never receiving calls and losing their confidence. The only thing that changed is the newcomers coming sooner (which makes me wonder why they don't just put them from the beginning). Also, the first date being three people, I weirdly liked that, it was easier for them to make a conversation and get to know each other then directly starting by a one on one date. The thing I didn't really like was the newcomer being able to steal someone's date, just because.

One thing is, I don't know if it's just because I'm more invested and see what people say on social media or if everyone is just getting too invested and being weird, but a lot of people are getting out of line and I'm not the first one saying it. I already find it weird when you're saying stuff like "my baby is sad" and stuff like that but the whole villain theories? You should read twice what you write because it's borderline offensive. The whole thing now is how Seonwoo (always the villain) just like Junsung and wants to steal Sungho as a revenge... who has the time for that. Seonwoo randomly called two people and never pursued any of those people but actually have chemistry and dated Sungho. I even find it more offensive towards Sungho. It's like everything, some people always push it too far making it weird.
