Honestly I don’t care that stuff doesn’t make sense? (Like plot wise) must a story be good? Is it not enough to watch two people pine for each other?? Agreed it’s pulling all the melo tropes and I don’t mind (honest) the characters are enough to pull me through all the way to the end! Also it has some very pretty shots!
okay so I’m no film critic so I’m not gonna pretend like I know anything about cinematography, but I did love the tone/mood the movie had and when I was introduced to the “second lead” I loved him. His kind of character is weakness of mine
He’s the kinda guy who’s a little lost in life, a so called failed architect in his own eyes bc he can’t create without being drunk. But he’s not so lost that he can’t help someone out (female lead) Like he saves her from being hit from a car, guesses she’s going through a hard time (her ex husband cheats on her, and his pregnant wife hates her) and just helps her out.
What made me love him was the way he helps her out, he picks up her self esteem, they use her ex husbands money to do so. He takes her out they have fun & she becomes a better version of herself. And he saw that, he saw her true worth. She inspires him to start drawing again.
Meanwhile the “main lead” hits on her bc he sees her as some damsel in distress. He intends to win her over by pulling the rich chaebol act where he lets her pick out a car, a nice apartment. He proposes marriage right of the bat, and ok sure they were flirting via opposite offices with sticky notes and hello a guy with money spending money on me, someone whose broke would be a wish come true.
But the female lead doesn’t want that. Like that same day he pops the question he just assumes she’s sleep with him and she’s like “aren’t we going too fast?” And he’s like “nope” and our female lead guesss that maybe that sleeping her might have just been his goal. And as she she kicks him out tells him, “I’m not looking for a guy who cheats out doesn’t cheat I’m lookign for the third kind of guy” (the one that’s loves her) aka our “second” lead.
So being me who hates unhappy endings I skipped to the end to see what happens fjnfjg and she does end up with the “second lead” and I was like yes!! But then Netflix had to recommend the part 2 and im like ....pls tell me she doesn’t go back to the first guy PLEASE and again I skip to the end and girlie ends up with the first lead, the playboy, which sucks in my opinion
(And Yeah looking at this maybe i should’ve written a separate review lmao but it’s it’s 2am and I had many thoughts
anyway if u read this far I hope u do give this movie a watch, make ur own opinions and feel free to interact or send movie/drama recommendations!)
