I actually do not mind if they show the second couple. I just think this show has very bad pacing for the main couple and they have made very questionable choices in the writing. The straight couple discussion is actually helping in overshadowing the discussion for how bad the pacing and writing for this series is so far. And, it is an adaption so I dont know how do you mess up this bad on the writing.
Whatever that happened in Episode 6 could have ended in 15-20 minutes. I feel like the production team doesn't know what to do with the long duration so they are not utilising this optimally.
If they end up giving equal screentime and important story plot to the straight pairing, this will actually end up becoming a BL with 5 episodes. Isn't 8 episodes better then? Those are actually packed with queer characters' journey better. Episode 1 and 2 were good cause they stayed close to the source material. While 3 and 4(especially 4) were messy cause they were deviating from the source and wrote those scenes in themselves. And, they are not doing a good job at it. It is choppy and awkward.
Okay, I like the series so far BUT The heterophobia accusation and comparison to homophobic people comments here are sending me. 😠Removing characters of an oppressed marginalised community(involving them) to make way for a privileged and something which is already considered norm is only getting you some criticism in some random site. While JUST telling original stories of a gay person which doesn't even involve straight people's stories will get the actors and directors harassed in their official ig comments, DMs, getting egged outside the building and there is risk of getting killed. They will protest outside and successfully force them to delete content from the platform(recent example being Love in Big City).
So, if you are a straight person here, you can tolerate a bit of people rightfully complaining about it. You will live, buddy. And, if you are gay and fighting for straight people sexual orientation rights and their representation... .....okay i guess? You should check out straight men's right too and become an advocate in the process. I mean, why not? You are so far deep in the clownery hole anyways.
This series really excelled hard in the chemistry department I think. Both the actors were so naturally into each other. I could feel the love blooming and how comfortable they were with each other. They did the strangers to high school best-friends to adult lovers trope SO WELL. Easily one of the best series of the year. I think this is going into my Top 3 KBLs of all time actually. Also, everyone needs a Im Hantae in their life honestly. The bestest supporting friend turned into boyfriend. Baram's cuteness and smile were also adorable. I was simping hard during the boxing scene smile.
"Personally, I don't want to give any sort of money or fame/hype towards a govt with anti-lgbtq+ laws. " if you've…
Thailand and Japan are clearly trying to move forward with the recent bills parties are trying to pass. CCP is still in the stone age trying to block same sex relationship to be even viewed on web series and trying to punish 'feminine' men whatever that is. Like ain't none of the countries above are regulating people up to that creepy degree. Forget actual rights.
You don't have to watch it lol. Supporting Chinese artists who are risking everything doing projects like these…
risking what? to potentially make money cause if they are not showing gay relationship, what are they risking lmfao?? past actors who gained easy access to stardom and then later acting like they never were in a censored BL and kept making money using the gay community as a stepping stone??? lol please omg we are so grateful pls hahaha

What's you talking about? Thailand, South Korea and Japan clearly allows LGBTQ+ content to be shown in a positive light. None of these countries who are profiting off LGBTQ+ community and making BLs bans it unlike the CCP.
