I am sorry you had terrible experience but I believe there are loud fans and anti fans in every fandom ..they don't represent whole fandom or in fact fandom at all in case they are anti but they are presumed as fans.
I am also seeing some loud fandom fans of other various fandoms on X unnecessarily bullying ZLH and this situation and I am sure you would agree that those fans don't represent whole fandom but this is what it is.
And I am loving Pursuit of Jade.. it's a very good drama and achieving all good results .. hopefully this good thing would balance other bad things for ZLH and he will have more success in future.

I am sorry but I am not aware of OG fandom fights , I mostly watch costume dramas except the best thing and hidden love..I haven't watched others and yes I agree others really seem to just bully him at this point and it has gone beyond from how it started and should be stopped.

Zhang linghe doesn't seem like a bad person , he is very reserved and quiet. And he seems very respectful of his co stars. I am not a walnut but I love watching his dramas because I believe he is a good actor and portrays character very well onscreen ..I said all this because I felt bullying had gone long enough and it needs to stop.
