i think the one you're referring to is about mhok and rome's backstory when they were in highschool. later thee and mhok moved to thailand for business and after seven years is what we're seeing in this drama. i will attach the link for that book below
junseo was a willing coconspirator in ah jin's all of her dids. he had so many opportunities to walk away, and ah jin literally pushed him away multiple times, but he kept coming back because of that excessive savior complex. he liked thinking he was “fair” or morally above everyone, but he acted just like the husband in his own way, trying to control her under the guise of helping. also people might say it's because he loved her but loving someone doesn't justify your actions. and the worst part is the expose. i’m not defending ah jin at all she did terrible things and absolutely deserved that but the way he went about it was horrible. he didn’t explain her layers, her trauma, her abusers, nothing. he painted her as this one-dimensional evil person, skipped all context, threw a diagnosis in there, and made her look inhuman. he included her high school bully of all people which already ruins the authenticity of the whole documentary. like if he actually cared about justice, he would’ve gone after explaining about her father, her mother, her step mother, the people who pushed her into becoming like this. again it doesn't justify her actions but shouldn't he explain it all? jae oh even died to get evidence, and junseo barely used that to expose the husband. total waste of jae oh's sacrifice. like why not expose them both when you have evidence instead of just one person??
i’m not justifying her actions, but junseo acting like he’s some righteous hero is wild. he was aware, he participated, he let things happen, and then when it was convenient, he became the saviour. he’s not a victim and definitely not a saint he’s just someone who wanted moral high ground without ever taking accountability for the role he played.
