I agree with you. It's almost like we should expect it anytime she's with a stranger who happens to be a man. The…
No, i am at chapter 30 and the only thing the novel had similarities with the show is when 3 men chase her and sang yan saves her other than this none of the other stuff the show has shown so far are in the novel (those flashback SA scenes can be in the novel later on i can't say for sure abt those)
The drama has its charms ngl, the main leads have amazing chemistry and they portray their respective characters well. I really liked the cinematography as well.
However, even before i started reading the novel (at chapter 29 rn) i found the SA scenes to be way too much like 11 eps in and she got SAed how many times?? 3 at least? (Not even counting the flashbacks) and now that i have read the novel i find it even more ridiculous that they added all that, there was an attempt but there was nothing as graphic as what they shown in the drama. And even if they wanted to show a "realistic" life of a poor woman i don't think they handled the scenes very well it really felt like those old school cheap Asian movies' attempted rape scenes where hero saves the girl at the last moment...... i really didn't like this aspect of the drama at all i hope there won't be anything similar in the later episodes
Just finished ep1 and literally nothing happened and all the comments r saying how boring it becomes after like 15 eps..... Yeah ig it's not for me what happened to cdrama nowadays god knows i keep dropping everything.... If anyone has any good cdrama recs from recent times pls do share
Hmm first 10 mins in and umm ik it's a drama and all but girls if you are out in an unknown place with only 1 person you know who likely can't defend you anyway it's best not to accept drinks from random men who are also willing to accompany you to your hotel, in the drama world you will end up with the love of your life but in real life it's not going to end well at all
i tried very hard to finish it but it is just way too boring and repetitive, not to mention the amount of plot holes and the horrible performance of the fl
I am quoting from an article : Fast-forward to 2013 where, in an interview with Vogue Korea, Lee appeared to out his friend and prominent stylist, Woo Jong-wan, soon after his suicide. Before he died, Lee claimed, “I said to [him], ‘You should stop being gay. Haven’t you been that way enough?’” He went on to describe Woo’s homosexuality as an “inconvenience.” The quotes were subsequently pulled from online versions of the interview.
i am sorry but both the ml and fl are extremely unlikeable and borderline psychotic..... Like what do you mean you went around dating hundred "bad guys" that you don't even like to teach them a "lesson" and the ml behaving in the most horrible way possible towards women bc his mother married his father for money and his first love was a bitch?!?!?!? Like that's it??? All it took was that for him to become that obnoxious 💀💀💀 i don't like any of the characters tbh but i will give props to the drama for the great pacing, comedic timing etc, ig in a way that was the drama's point to have obnoxious main characters but they did try to "justify" their behavior at the end and it was done horribly
for an ultra fan, you sure did miss out on a lot of FUN FACTS on your idol!!!! such as multiple assault cases which include him severely assaulting a woman, multiple dui, extreme homophobia and whatnot
I believe the romance is beautiful, but they missed very important key points that would have helped us connecting…
i would have to disagree on the it happens in most dramas part......i can not remember another drama made in at least the last decade or so that had a male lead who tried to kiss the female lead who is asleep and has never shown any kind of romantic interest towards him...... especially in a well written drama like this behavior as such felt kind of unhinged to me [ or i could be using the word wrong idk]
Re watched this recently and i forgot how unhinged ling xiao was with his romantic approach towards jianjian 💀💀💀 my boy needed to go through some extreme therapy before starting any kind of relationship lmao also their romantic angle wouldn't have seem "weird" to people if they had shown jianjian also having a crush on him from the beginning although i would argue she did have an "unknowingly" crush on him, her behavior towards ling xiao in their teenage years vs her behavior towards ze qui was very different but it was way too subtle for many people to notice ig
it is not a song wei long drama if the fl isn't at least a decade older than him lmao.....seriously idk why but it works , from the pics it looks like they will have good chemistry
a short from this drama came on my yt short yesterday and god that remined me how traumatizing it was to watch lmao......if you are interested to watch this here are some warnings : this is basically incest like yeah they are not blood related blah blah blah but the FL was ADOPTED by the ML's family since she was a kid, she has their family name and everything, calls them mom and dad, everyone around them refers to them as siblings and oh yeah how can i forget the ML is a fcking menace, the way he behaves around the FL is quite toxic.
