My guess is the writer wrote the beginning on her own, but after the deal was signed the studio got involved and…
It might be possible that it was actually supposed to be 16 episodes long, but the studio probably decided they wanted to end the show on Christmas; so they cut it to 14 episodes, leading to the rushed ending that we saw.
Music of this drama makes it unbearable! Come on we're not in a spy or war fiction!!!
Seriously, I had a headache while watching the first episode because the music. Also, the 1st episode introduced way too many characters without any proper introduction. Even the MLs introduction and his character seems way too dull and boring. Dropping it for now. Will come back later and see if it gets any better.
For me too, 7th episode was the best episode. It was so emotional and amazing.
This story has 2 major weak points: 1) The story of second lead couple. It was very frustrating to watch. I am actually relieved the way it ended, as them being a couple again would have felt very forced. 2) Flashbacks. There were too many of them. This also includes flashbacks to the childhood of the main leads. It felt like half the series was made of these flashbacks, which were not very meaningful either as they carried similar scenes and emotions with them.
I feel like anyone who judges a drama (especially any asian drama) in like the first two episodes should just…
I have seen the same exact reply from you to another review that has rated it low. But I do not see any such comment on reviews that have rated this show as 9 or 10 after just watching 2-3 episodes.
WTPR rating dropped not because the drama is bad but because of a controversy regarding a scene in the last episode. The drama itself is great (except for the last episode which is not that great).
I completely agree with you. The first four episodes of this were amazing but after it simply went downhill.I…
I am surprised that this drama has such high rating. There was a time when I could trust MDL Ratings. But now after seeing the rating of recent dramas, I simply can no longer trust it.
I completely agree with you. The first four episodes of this were amazing but after it simply went downhill.
I especially hate the Second Lead couple. They are unnecessary, boring and take up too much screentime. I guess this is what happens when you announce a spin-off series for second lead couple before the drama even starts airing.
There are also too many side storylines for a drama that is just 12 episodes. It has come to a point that male lead had to speak it out verbally to make me realise that he had fallen in love with the FL. There was simply no time to develop the romance between the FL and ML.
We only know that the secretary is the inspiration for the foster sister/roommate's spicy scenes in her web novels.…
No, that may not be necessarily true. The spinoff is about the story of the web novel that the foster sister/roommate is writing, not the actual world.
Below is the official synopsis of the spinoff series 'The CEO's Menu' : "An unpredictable romantic fantasy drama about a 19+ web novel writer, Nam Ja Yeon, who possesses the female protagonist of her own novel, Seo Yeon Seo, and develops a romantic relationship with the male protagonist of her romance novel, Kang Ha Jun."
I don't think he have so much screentime. Personaly I wish he was only in 2-3 scenes but they added love triangle…
They could have made the ML receive the letter instead. This would have created more interesting situations, while also giving him the opportunity to discover the secret of the FL. But the writers wasted this opportunity.
I totally agree with you. There is no chemistry between Jung Eun Ji & Choi Jin Hyuk's character. The romance is completely forced. Another issue is that ML spends majority of the time with the 50 year old persona of the FL, because of which there was simply not enough interaction between them to show proper progress in their relation.
Another character that I do not like is Ko Won, especially his feeling towards the FL. It felt completely forced.
On the other hand, I liked the acting of Lee Jung Eun very much. She did a brilliant job portraying here character and I enjoyed watching her in the series.

Just by reading the synopsis u can tell that it will be a love triangle between ML, SML & FL.
It might actually be a love quadrangle between all 4 leads.
Another character that I do not like is Ko Won, especially his feeling towards the FL. It felt completely forced.
On the other hand, I liked the acting of Lee Jung Eun very much. She did a brilliant job portraying here character and I enjoyed watching her in the series.
