Alice In Borderland IS better if we use the "world" as our barometer. There is currently a WAVE of K-Drama & K-Pop fascination sweeping the world that makes Squid Games appear to be the dominant drama. However, Japan has been consistent in the quality of work. Aside from Godzilla, they appear stagnant [similar to China apart from their films], but ALL their work has been taken & appropriated by another culture. Titles & names have been changed, but it's the same. For instance, "All Of Us Are Dead" is the Japanese Manga/Anime "High School Of the Dead". No credit, nothing - they say taken from their Webtoon - which it is, but the story is sickening, identical to HSOtD. B/c the anime & manga were so small, most people don't even know. There is an extremely popular film remade twice & turned into a TV show TWICE based on a Japanese Samurai movie. No one knows about it unless you're a movie buff like myself & my mum. Particularly my mum has a thing for black & white Japanese films. This is what happens w/ Japan ALL the time. Their work is silently appropriated & by large underappreciated. Yet, Korea's pop-wave allows its work to be advertised well.

Based on the concept there should be no comedy in this. They said "violen crimes & cases" - I jus don't see brevity here. This looks like a dark story - or the dark side of the olympics world & there is one.
IDK when this will be released, but I am waiting w/ bated breath for it to be released. This is a highly anticipated series for me. I can honestly tell you I am NEVER excited by the over-saturated bl trash out there.
Based on all the rapid changes in China CURRENTLY regarding Gay/Brotherly Love [BL]/ & bl work disregard everything you've read below. China now wants to capitalize on the mass-money marketing of what bl is making so they're AGAIN changing censorship laws. I always knew this would happen that's why I never wasted my time worrying about or complaining about China. They will NEVER do what Thailand or Taiwan does of outright make-out or love scenes but the implications will be allowed. They've already started doing it.

Is it because they don't say or show it? They showed you the blue - that wasn't blatant enough? Mao Chong & Haung C are Bromance. Not WB or SY.
