Nope. My mom married a man who is 15 yrs older than her. My mom told me when she was growing up the joke in her…
But she's not. Physically & technically on the series she's 30. Therefore, she's legal. It would be ILLEGALL of her to be w/ a 17yr old boy. It would be bizarre for her to be w/ a boy who's 17-19yrs old.
However, 17 yr old boys & girls or 18 men/women do fall in love w/ older men. It may be rare but not uncommon. It could be prohibited in Korea but far from prohibited in Korea.
But once again - this escapes the My Little Bride dilemma. 17 can fall in love w/ an older man w/o having the hold up w/ societies hang-ups holding them back.

I don’t understand why she like 30 years old guy if she have 17 mind? she should be crazy about yoo chan if…
Nope. My mom married a man who is 15 yrs older than her. My mom told me when she was growing up the joke in her family was that instead of checking out her peers she was checking out the professors.
There are women who are just really into older women. I think she even told me she was 21 & one of her bfs was 37.
She even said she had an age restriction of no one younger than 10yrs older than her. My mom is mentally mature than most women. You don't find teenagers literate in Latin & French, quoting Tolstoy & Dostoevsky. <- Advantages.

Don't expect reviews from me but I will say this...
I am VERY particular about my K-Dramas since I've been watching them since 2002 as an InterFan. Admittedly, I don't try to be familiar w/ the new actors unless I really like them, therefore, there only ones I know are Park Soo Yi & Go Doo Shim. *shrug* [Yeah, I know the kid.]
For the 1st two eps. I am really enjoying it & find the story fresh, enticing, melodramatic w/ a dash of comedy. I'm not anticipating to it every week, missing an ep. a week or two won't bother me; but so far it doesn't look like something to drop.

When you mentioned Jang Ja Yeon I had to look her up. She was not familar to me at all. Then I realized why. I didn't watch Boys Over Flowers. I was a die hard Hana Yori Dango fanatic. I saw one episode & felt it failed miserably. The acting, the uniform - just everything.

That being said, the only scandal I was aware of the people there was Kim Hyun-Joong. I was never a big fan of his, however his scandal was so big you couldn't ignore it. I tend to follow scandals like his b/c I wonder if the women are telling the truth. Low & behold 5yrs of misery & irrepairable damage to his reputation she was lying.

I'm glad he was strong enough HE didn't committ suicide. Suicide is a huge in East Asia. I'm rather lucky only two of my favorite actors did committ suicide. One actor I knew I would probably have loved also committed suicide & a singer I preferred as a soloist died on his first album. Those were my four. I will never watch the actor's dramas again. I just can't do it. I know people who were into a lot of people. I'm not married to stars, but I very hurt when I heard about their deaths.

Now, Coco Lee was the ONLY person that did make me break down. Now as a black woman who grew up watching East Asian films, specifically Hong Kong & Chinese films predominantly b/c of my dad - her suicide destroyed me. Her music was EVERYWHERE! It was her music & Jay Chou.
I mean you can hear about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdwG84gl-LM

I went through a transition w/ K-Pop. I'm not fond of it now. I was a big fan of it back in 2009/10. This was when the SUJU boys/Se7en/DBSK/Bi/FatMaMas/Eugene's group all those cats were around. Obviously, this is uber old school. I mean these were my people. However, when the 2014/2015 some of those guys, mainly the foreigners started spilling the beans about what went on at the companies.

They sold their souls to the contract. Those kids are literally in debt. Right now BTS is probably in debt up to their eyeballs. They're worked into exhaustion. They develop health problems. They're own company puts out negative pressers to keep them in line. They're tortured. The foreigners deal with continuous racism. Ever since then I've boycotted K-Pop b/c of the slavery & selling of bodies of young boys & girls. But then again these kids sign up for it.

I'm a teacher & one of my students from Indonesia (absolutely gorgeous - really should be a model) -signed up for a K-Pop band. Almost made it, she was told her age was too old. She's 21. Yeah, she's like they want them younger & younger. By the way, she's a dancer (went to dance school), she writes her own music, singer, has her own music vid, so she was fully equipped. They just told her she was too old.
If you're interested in her music vid. Let me know I can send you the link.

Anyway...yeah, lots of suicides. However, I was talking to my sister recently about the good old days. You know you can't find some of the subs for the series we have. So many shows are lost. There's also the community. The community isn't the same. You probably would have loved the communities. Everything was sort of dismantled pretty much after VIKI & Cruchroll wanted to be a "proper" translation program thing like Netflix or paid membership. Then we lost Dramafever. It was all over.

Little by little everything started crumbling. Soompi & their racist ass became bigger, we then lost Asianzone. By 2014 everything was gone. Such a tragedy. I lost so many friends.

Anyway,

Sorry part of my post was cut off.
Her dad left her mother. She's WASIAN. Her dad is Italian-American and did a wham, bam, thank you, ma'am thing. That's pretty rough. That could be rough not only for her as a child but also for living as a biracial child w/o that other parent. She must have been teased to oblivion.

Well, it's in the blurb. When she was in ISWAK II her Taiwanese mom to be a single mom. That's rough.
She seems to have gotten into acting for the same reasons Rainie did - money. Rainie Yang's story was worse.
Rainie Yang's family owed money to loan sharks, so she went into acting. She was cute and pretty, so she was already scouted. She didn't want to do it, apparently, but because her family needed the money, she decided to get into the business. She saved her family from debt.
The only people who were clear were Joe Cheng, Ariel Lin, & Mike He.
It seemed easier to get into the TV business in the mid-2000s (2005) when all of this was happening.
I forgot the name of the crew (think Mickey Mouse Club
style).

This group had a name because they all debuted at the exact same time—there were about 15 of them. The two most popular pairings were Ariel Lin/Joe Cheng and Rainie Yang/Mike He. My faves were AL/JC.
However, Taiwan doesn't work like Thailand or the Philippines. It was more like these couples were part of this crew & made a few popular series we'll put them in more.

All of the actresses during that time either got married or engaged & took a break. Had a few kids. Some have come back to the business b/c of their star power.
The men have never left. Mike He & Joe Cheng are power houses.

Ariel Lin took a break for a while & now she's been back. OMG she's in a new drama w/ JERRY YAN!!! I never thought I would see this pairing. This pairing seems like the impossible. If this pairing is happening maybe I'll have my Ireine Song & Yang Yang pairing come true. ^_^

Oh you missed her in the hayday. When the crew was the crew. Back in 2005 she was part of the dynamo era.
I'm kind of sad to hear about her story actually. I had to give her some love hearing about it. She went through some drama. But then all the people in her circle did like Rainie Yang.

Maybe it's b/c I'm black but every other race seems to age so much faster than they're supposed to be. They do NOT look younger. White people are the worst. I'm like they're 21 already looking 38 w/ 3 kids. Like Millie Bobby Brown. WOW! She looks like she's in her 30s.
East Asian women seem to gradually grow older proportional to their age. So I think they look great.
I'm a black woman in my 40s & I'm literally still carded. People think I'm 17. When I'm w/ my sister it's worse. I've been told by police I should be in school even w/ my gray hair. But then they've done a whole study on black people & the way they tend to "stop the clock" so to speak.

The 1st paragraph is like recycle repeat kdramas we've already seen.
The second paragraph lists the most recent ('23-'24) 7 Kdramas, 3 Jdrama, 3Cdrama, and 5 Twidramas. I mean, where does it end?

She was terrific in A Shop For Killers. I was surprised coming on here & seeing her biography to note there was so little background in acting. "Bit Part" or "Supporting Actress", & when it's SA, she's WAY down the list. This was her first REAL Kdrama & she ate it.
I know by Kdrama standards she's no beauty queen or Kim Tae Hee but damn, her presence on screen is as palatable as Ryu Da In (another actress who I feel is in a way criminalised based on her looks).
I hope for more from her. I'd like her in a prominent role w/ one of the top-tier leading k-men actors - I haven't seen Gong Yu in a while.

Released or not I DO NOT want to see this. Giving horrible ideas to the freaks out there. There are people who are out to kill influencers & I can see them thinking this is a good plan.

Nope, b/c I didn't like the storyline, nor was I a fan of the lead actress. I don't watch a k-drama b/c it's a k-drama. *shrug*
To give it a fair shot I did attempt to watch ep.1 & felt they LMK & the lead actress had no chem to exacerbate the absolutely ridiculous storyline.

Lee Min Ki is a fabulous actor whom I've liked when I Really, Really Like You first aired w/ Eugene. [I know he was in Be Strong Geum Soon - I didn't like long dramas back then.]
The storyline sound interesting but I'm always wary of overzealous plots.
The girl is a N00B. I can't expect much from her.
So yeah...I'm here for LMK.

However, I'm staying for the storyline. WTH! The plot is BRILLIANT!!! After reading it, who's here for the plot and not the actors?! I'm so excited. I can't wait for the release. I hope it's a 40-ep Cdrama.

Suicide due to depression. One of my favourite Japanese actors. It's b/c of this I can't even watch this Jdorama or any of this others again. I've seen all of them up to this one which I was GOING to watch. He passed away before completing it. I tend to binge watch AFTER a series is completed. There's something about suicide that unnerves me so I never watch the work of anyone who's done it. RIP MH.
