Damn Lord Ling’s mansion and fire does not go well together. Lu Yuxiao’s acting is insane and I can’t wait to watch her in FL roles. Kinda sad to see 6th prince take up such a huge responsibility at a very young age. And the emperor…. Ning Chuan you are nothing!

All in all it’s a good drama and my attention span is so fcked up I’m so proud of myself for finishing this one so soon.

ML creeps me out

I’m loving it so far. I started this right after MLC and it’s nice to see Joseph in this character. Gives off manly feeling without being super cold or broody. Tian Xiwei has become a recent fave of mine. It’s always a delight seeing her on screen. I’m only on ep 8 i hope the romance picks up soon.

What a visual feast. Both Gong family and Wufeng assassins are beautiful. Miss Ziyi became my last-minute fave when she fought with just her claws. Cheng Lei and Lu Yuxiao's acting performance as Gong Shangjue and Shangguan Qian is phenomenal. Those two always keep me on my toes and I kept replaying their scenes cause I couldn't get enough of it. SGQ shift of emotions was chilling. Although I wished they showed more of her genuine side than just flashbacks when she's alone. GSJ hesitation to touch her was heartbreaking cause he was always suspicious of her but still unknowingly started to fall. I think she weighed her options when she asked GSJ for help to kill Dian Zhu but got an unclear answer instead. After all, for GSJ it's Gong family above his personal desires (she knows it too) and for SGQ she lives for revenge. SGQ decided to leave Gong residence wearing the dress GSJ gave her. When she stopped for a few seconds it felt like she was waiting for GSJ to call her just like how Hanya Qi did. In the end, he saw her in the middle of his pool aka his heart, teary-eyed now living with just memories of her. And her watering azaleas in a seemingly calm aura. This is the level of angst I need and I love how they stay true to their characters til the end.
