It's relevant because Korea's laws are universal for a Korean citizen. So if you smoke weed in the U.S. as a Korean…
So much for âwhen in Romeâ attitude. In the US- Some states have legalized MJ/ Weed- so one can even be accidentally exposed via food/ gummies/ candy- in addition to smoking. I find it shocking that engaging in a legal activity where you are vacationing, makes you a criminal back home.
I agree with most of your post. The sexual assault I am not familiar with. Also, I was crushed to hear about Lee…
I did look it up I was appalled. I think he is definitely being targeted. I also believe there might be an inside story thatâs fueling this accusation- perhaps an Ex who carries a grudge against him. The timing is suspicious.
This is a shame. This is what a backward thinking country looks like. Notice they acknowledge his psychological…

This is heartbreaking . He needs mental health treatment. I believe fellow artists will support him at the end . The issue with these medications are that they work- initially- then after repeated use the body becomes physically dependent- so when the body doesnât receive the medications it starts the withdrawal symptoms. Once these start, you need the meds to stop the symptoms. A vicious cycle thus begins. Out of desperation, a person will try other substances to manage/ self-medicate to feel normal again. Physical Dependence is different from addiction but either way, medical/psychological help is needed not criminal charges/ imprisonment. I feel bad for the other actors in his last movie, because once word was out that his scenes were cut many people boycott the movie- myself included.
Iâm really upset at this decision, when first delayed due to scandal I thought it was unfair to the other actors in the film. I also feel that Yoo Ah In has a significant medical history, not limited to a bone tumor and five failed military exams which exempted him from service. It is unfortunate he developed a substance use disorder, yet here it is. He is not a violent criminal so why affected everyoneâs life for a personal health issue. I hope they donât edit out scenes; or perhaps as mentioned in comments release an edited and non-edited version. Korea has strict standards compared to other countries; yet Netflix is a global platform that invested millions USD into the Korean Drama/Film Industry.
so.. reading comments I'm confused, is there a Season 2? or is the released 10 episodes already Season 1&2? i.e. 5 episodes in each one? I haven't watched American TV in over a decade, despite living here- as mainly shows go on for years and years before finally ending- like Friends, Law & Order etc. I like the K-Drama format of multiple episodes for a specific time period and then the drama/story is over. I will admit Netflix has dominated the industry and as they invested millions in their platform and partnerships, they tend to make the rules.
I love Korean historical dramas, but this one is so boring. I don't have the nerve to continue watching it.
I would push trough to at least EPISODE 2 OR 3. The first 20 min or so I had to keep up, reading subtitles and focus, By the 2-3 episode I was hooked and blown away. I usually am bored easily and have a rule that I watch at least 2 episodes before I give up on a drama, this one sucked me in like no other drama has. I'm surprised by it. I know everyone has different tastes, but I would recommend giving it another go. There is a lot of backstop to unpack at first. The FL character changed the entire drama for me once her true character emerged.
