I also just started the show and have watched 4 episodes as well. Li Xun's character irks me too but I'm curious…
I'm only familiar with K-dramas. Recently, C dramas have gained significant popularity and always come up on my YouTube. I decided to check them out as they seemed interesting. I also want to watch Japanese shows. I'm watching one Netflix show 'First love'. It's slow-paced but good. About the hit or miss thing you mentioned, it happens. Sometimes I find it hard to carry on with a show when it doesn't sit right with me even if it's viral. I saved a few Chinese shows on my PTW list but I want more so I'll check your list. Thanks!
Only on episode 3, and the show looks interesting. However, the male lead is an arrogant, self-righteous piece…
I also just started the show and have watched 4 episodes as well. Li Xun's character irks me too but I'm curious to know why he behaves like this and what got him behind bars plus I like the class dynamics the students have together and the overall vibe of the show. So I'm going to give this one a chance as my first C drama.
I enjoyed first ep mainly because of Ahn Bo Hyun, as his character was the only one that stood out to me. Ahn Bo Hyun as Jin Isoo is quirky but it feels there's another side of him which is yet to be revealed. In my opinion, his acting here improved a lot compared to his previous role in 'See You In My 19th Life'. P.S, the scene where he was getting ready for the kidnapping play reminded me of Batman. For a second there I thought: 'He wouldn't look bad as Batman'. ๐
Nice little makjang to watch for some spicy family politics and drama. Just don't forget it feels like a fairytale disguised as kdrama. Last episode is such a 'princess in distress meets prince charming and they live happily ever after' moment. It's a 7.5/10 for me :).
I watched 4 episodes and there are some issues with the way the story flows in the drama. I am not sure if it…
Agree. Some scenes only make good sense if you know beforehand what's coming, for example in case of manhua readers. The story in the manhua is already complex but they changed some things up and it becomes confusing.
This is entertaining so far. And the acting is great. I'm at a loss for words at how evil a person can be. Like the antagonists have no self-responsibility and no shame. Makes my blood boil. Let's see how satisfying they can make the revenge part. I already felt so good when she attacked the pathetic ex at the office.
This started with a comedic anecdote and the leads' chemistry was palpable throughout but then Idk why they had to butcher the script in the last few episodes. If only the story expanded more on the kidnapping flashback it would be enjoyable.
Why in my eyes Togawa is the perfect man anyone could dream of๐ญ. Literal prince charming. I could go on and on about how amazing he is but I don't wanna sound like a simp ๐ ๐.
Yes, you're right. Reading is overall a better experience than a visual adaptation. And I should be judging the drama separately but I feel it's difficult for me to watch it with the way it's airing now. The schedule is inconsistent sometimes and the wait is frustrating. So, I might binge the drama when it's complete as I do like the source material :).
I feel cozy watching the drama. I like the cinematography and Leo simply slays. I ignored some plot holes and drag, but still my only complaint is that Leo didn't get anyone in the end. Why must he stay lonely :(?
Just started the drama. I'm excited and enjoying every bit. I really like watching Yang Se Jong on screen; and Bae Suzy is amazing as Doona. Plus, the cinematography is beautiful. I really love the house they're all sharing. I wanna live in it too ๐ธ.
