i love this drama so much. although they are all older than me, somehow it feels like i raised them and watched them grow up HAHAHHA. i love the main leads sm prob because i see myself in both of them most of the times in terms of personality and reactions. also, i love the dynamics between the four leads hahahahha. overall, its a fluffy romcom with a perfect mix of romance, friendship, comedy and growth!! (+ i saw people talking abt how childish chuli voice is but honestly i dont think so and it doesnt bother me at all. i have the same voice and pitch as chuli and im used to this kind of voice in dramas. moreover, the voice matches chuli so well since shes like a ball of sunshine. but when in serious situations, she use a serious tone/voice so!!) anyways, I LOVE CHULI AND I WILL DEFND HERRR. def recommend to anyone looking for a light but not nonsense drama.!!!
i have finished the drama and would love to say its a 11/10. i absolutely love love love it. this had me waiting every single day for the ep to come out and sobbing my eyes out. guo jingming gave closure to all characters except the main leads so it got me thinking of the possibilities of season 2. at least thats what im hoping for. if not, guo jingming better sleep with one eye open at night 🥰
i am now at ep 22. whoever saw me comment abt how i want both wufeng and gong men destroyed, i take that back. i absolutely take that back. i only want downfall of wufeng now. its true gong men isnt flawless and there were alot of conflicts initially but the development was so good. they went from fighting against one another to understanding each other and fighting together. and i love how every character, including the side characters, have the backstory and not just filler superficial ones with no depth at all. and lord i have been sobbing my eyes out for the whole hour at 1 am. i need sleep 😭

exactlyyy no one seems responsible now. like they mentioned, many rules in gong men are being broken both in the front hill and the back hill. (i can understand why they do that tho) its a whole chaos and god i want both gong men and wufeng destroyed at this point 😭 can everyone just go outside that valley and live with ppl they like freely?

the second leads are great at acting and they deserve their own main roles later but u cant just put down other actors to make other actors look better. they can shine without u talking bad abt their coworkers. second leads deserve all the compliments they recieve but calling main leads mediocre to make second leads look great is not gonna help any 4 of them.
im so invested in this drama too much that i dreamed abt it. in my dream, the rating keep going down until it hits 1 and i was so frustrated i started paying people to rate it 10 😭
Jin Fan was a RED jade guardian in the past. the elders are yellow jade guardian. i think red is higher level than the yellow. moreover, the green jade guardians can go together with their young masters to the backhill when their young masters have to take the trials. so its normal for them to go backhill. By "only elders", i meant like the backhill family (xue, yue, hua, feng)
Xue tongzi is in charge of the trials in backhill and i think he cant leave backhills. only the elders can go back and forth between front and back hills. and older version of Xue Tongzi will be played by Joseph, not the actor that plays huanyu. so i personally dont think they are same person. but Xue tongzi looks like an old soul trapped in a younger body. and i think there will prob be more on that later in drama.
YWS is doing good..she has subtle microexpressions... befitting her character. People are saying she doesn't smile…
